Denis Evstigneev is a talented cameraman, director and producer. The director became famous after the creation of the film "Mama". Denis Evgenievich is a laureate of the USSR State Prize.
Evstigneev's work began with an operator's career. She was replaced by directing, and later by producing domestic serials.
The road to vocation
The future famous figure was born on October 29, 1961 to the talented family of director and performer Galina Volchek and artist Yevgeny Evstigneev. The boy's grandfather, Boris Izrailevich, was also an outstanding film director.
Little Denis practically did not see his parents. Both parents were too busy with work. Especially, according to Denis, his mother missed him. Galina Borisovna perfectly understood that her son was growing. Therefore, she began to take Denis with her everywhere.
He visited both on tour and on the set, even on vacation, my mother went only with him. The boy was proud of his parents. He was especially happy for his father, who received applause for the game. At home, Yevgeny Evstigneev behaved like a common man.
Denis made his choice long ago. He was sure that he would enter the All-Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov. At twenty-three, Evstigneev Jr.'s camera debut took place. He was filming Tales of an Old Wizard. The tape was released in 1983.
The plot is based on Perrault's story about Sleeping Beauty. As in the fairy tale, the princess was cursed by an evil witch, the girl pricked her hand with a spindle and fell asleep for a century. But the entourage of this fairy tale turned out to be completely different. All the heroes were not fabulously medieval, but modern. Therefore, the picture was perceived differently.
Operatorship
The first tape was followed by "Hitcher" in 1986, in 1988 it was supplemented by "Autumn, Chertanovo …". The film project tells about the mutual love of two people. However, the chosen one of the writer Maria cannot leave her husband, whom she also loves.
As a result, a difficult relationship develops with a tragic outcome. The young cameraman glorified his work on the painting "Servant". Denis worked under the guidance of the famous director Vadim Abdrashitov. For the picture, the script was written by Alexander Mindadze.
In addition to domestic recognition and the Nikoi award, the project was awarded the Berlin Festival prize, and the young operator was awarded the country's State Prize. The picture is built in the order of the reverse chronology, the memoirs of the heroes. The official liked the smart demobilized guy.

A couple of years later, Evstigneev worked on the creation of Luna Park, which won an award in Cannes. Cinematography Denis Evgenievich was crowned with a considerable number of domestic and international awards. He shot ten films in eleven years.
Directing
Then Denis decided to change his field of work and took up directing. One of the last works of Evstigneev in this role was the French cinema 1995 "About Nice".
The directorial debut took place in thirty-four films "Limits". The composition of the actors in the film about the provincials conquering the capital was chosen very carefully.
The main roles were offered to Vladimir Mashkov, Yevgeny Mironov and Kristina Orbakaite. The famous "Mama" became a new work. The dramatic film was released four years after Limits.
Mashkov, Mordyukova and Menshikov helped convey a poignant story to the audience. The main character, the mother of several children, had the idea to hijack a plane for them.
Producing
The genre of the master changed by 2002. The director appeared as a producer of the youth comedy Let's Make Love. At the center of the story is the experiences of seventeen-year-old young people. Deep down, they are looking for pure and real love, hiding under the masks of cynicism and swagger.
The characteristic atmosphere of the hostel, non-standard phrases and wonderful music provided an amazing atmosphere of the picture. Once again, the talented person had to change the established image. He started producing domestic TV series.
Evstigneev called the main task of raising them to a high quality level. That is why Denis collaborates only with directors-laureates of festivals. The project "Only you" became the starting point for a new kind of activity. It was released on screens in 2004.
At the same time there was a premiere of both Places in the Sun and Boys of Steel. Denis Evgenievich arranged his personal life twice. His first chosen one was Tatyana Tsyplakova. The couple broke up. Later, the ex-wife found her happiness and got married. A son appeared in marriage.
The second wife of a talented figure Ekaterina Zinovievna Gerdt, the adopted daughter of the famous artist. The relationship was officially formalized in 1992, Denis and Catherine became husband and wife. The family has lived happily for two decades. Denis is raising the spouse's child from a previous marriage. Recently Evstigneev became a grandfather: Catherine's son gave them two granddaughters, Tanya and Masha, in 2003 and 2005.
Evstigneev's stepson, Orest Fokin, graduated from the law faculty of Moscow State University. He started working in the police, then became a lawyer for a large company.
