Step 2
You take care of your goddaughter or godson. This, of course, is not only gifts and visits for the day of the angel and birthday, it is, first of all, a prayer accompaniment to his life. Now, in your every night appeal to the Lord, you must necessarily mention his name along with requests for health, salvation and help in raising your own and godparents, their well-being and their relatives.
Step 3
Now you take on the responsibilities of a guide and accompanying the kid on the way to Orthodoxy. Take your little one with you to church, accompany him to the sacrament on church holidays. Read with him his first children's Bible in pictures and answer his questions, start studying Sacred History. Teach him the commandments of Christianity.
Step 4
Becoming a godmother, you become an assistant to his own mother, who does not always have time to raise a child, take on some of these responsibilities. It is not necessary to devote your communication with the godson only to the issues of religious education, teach him universal human values, instill obedience and love for parents, reverence and respect for elders. Such emotional contacts will become a good immunity for the child against vulgarity and violence, which pours out on fragile children's souls from TV screens.
