- - notebooks
- - pens
- - a computer
- - the Internet
Instructions
Step 1
Divide the book into parts and translate gradually. Take the first part (let it be just one page of text) and read it from beginning to end to get a feel for the content. Underline difficult-to-translate passages as you read. After that, break the page into paragraphs and start translating each sentence, linking it to the next.
Step 2
In each sentence, first of all, select the subject and the predicate, then proceed to the word-by-word translation. If you come across unfamiliar words, write them down, and then look in the dictionary for the meaning, make sure that the meaning you choose fits in context with the general meaning of the sentence.
Step 3
After translating all the paragraphs in the selected passage, read it. Make sure that the translation is readable, its meaning is clear, and also handle the style errors encountered in the text.
