Translating a large piece of text from a completely unfamiliar language is difficult. Nevertheless, you can find a way out of any situation and choose the method that suits you best. So, to translate a book into Russian, you can use one of the options.

Step 1
Try to find a ready-made literary translation of the work that interests you on the Internet or in the library. If the book has not been published in Russia, contact the specialists at the translation agency. Remember that there is a fee for translation services. If you want to translate yourself, there are a few things to keep in mind.

The foreign language from which you want to translate the book may have fewer words than Russian. This creates certain difficulties, since the same word can be translated in different ways. Focus on the context, understand the meaning of the previous and subsequent sentences, then it will be easier for you to choose the correct translation.
Step 3
Remember that a separate word, when independently assessed, may have one translation, but if you add a preposition (or an ending) to this word, its meaning will change. The same applies to stable speech patterns and phrases. Prepare auxiliary literature - dictionaries, phrasebooks, reference books. You cannot do without them.
Step 4
It is better to choose publications that offer several options for translating foreign words at once and explain the cases of their use. Write out unfamiliar words with their translation options and only then combine words into sentences. When you see the whole picture (translate all unfamiliar words in a sentence), it will be easier to make the correct translation.
Step 5
You can also try to translate the main part of the text using a translator application installed on your computer, or online on the corresponding website. When using such programs, remember that in most cases they only give literal translations, so the meaning of some sentences may be lost. Re-read the result and correct it, guided by logic.
