On November 22, 1942, the future theater and film actor was born in an Irkutsk family far from the world of culture and art. In order to prevent Vasily from being left for the second year in a comprehensive school due to low academic performance, he enrolled in the drama club, having remarkable abilities for acting. It was here that the teenager formed a clear conviction to devote his professional career to acting.
And Valentin Ivanovich Zakhodoy, with whom fate confronted him, gave him a start in life, insisting on admission after graduation to the Schepkinsky theater school. Having received the coveted diploma, Vasily Bochkarev enters the service at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, and after a while begins to enter the stage of the Stanislavsky Theater. Here he was remembered by the theatrical audience for his performances in the productions of Days of the Turbins and The Marriage of Belugin. And at the end of the "seventies" the already accomplished actor was transferred to the troupe of the Maly Theater, where he appears on the stage to this day.
