Behind the creative shoulders of Vasily Bochkarev today there are many professional awards. I would especially like to mention in this extensive list the Stanislavsky Prize (Protasov in "Living Corpse"), the "Golden Mask" (Pribitkov in "The Last Victim"), the State Prize of Russia (Sila Erofeich Groznov in "Truth is good, but happiness is better"), a special diploma of the jury of the 32nd International Festival of VGIK "For the preservation and development of a genuine Russian acting school."

Biography of Vasily Bochkarev

On November 22, 1942, the future theater and film actor was born in an Irkutsk family far from the world of culture and art. In order to prevent Vasily from being left for the second year in a comprehensive school due to low academic performance, he enrolled in the drama club, having remarkable abilities for acting. It was here that the teenager formed a clear conviction to devote his professional career to acting.

And Valentin Ivanovich Zakhodoy, with whom fate confronted him, gave him a start in life, insisting on admission after graduation to the Schepkinsky theater school. Having received the coveted diploma, Vasily Bochkarev enters the service at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, and after a while begins to enter the stage of the Stanislavsky Theater. Here he was remembered by the theatrical audience for his performances in the productions of Days of the Turbins and The Marriage of Belugin. And at the end of the "seventies" the already accomplished actor was transferred to the troupe of the Maly Theater, where he appears on the stage to this day.

It was here that he won special love of the theatrical community. And the role of Ippolit in Fedor, Plato in Serfs and Khlynov in Ardent Heart can be attributed to the peak of the venerable actor's career.

Vasily Bochkarev made his cinematic debut when he entered the set in a cameo role in the two-part film "Running" (1970). And only after several years of participation in the filming of various films as minor characters, directors begin to invite him to the main roles. Currently, his filmography contains a huge number of film works. However, the peak of his career as a film actor falls on the period of the "seventies" and "eighties".

Among the many film projects with the participation of Vasily Bochkarev, I would especially like to highlight the films "Ivan the Terrible", "Children of the Arbat", "Field Guard Mozzhukhin", "The Investigation is Conducted by Experts", "Saboteur. The end of the war "and" Vladivostok, year 1918 ".

At present, the People's Artist of Russia continues to actively participate in theatrical life, is engaged in teaching activities, works on television and as a dubbing master.

Personal life of the actor

Behind the shoulders of the eminent actor today there are two marriages. The first family union in eight years with the popular actress Lyudmila Polyakova did not bring the spouses the joy of becoming parents. However, they still work on the same stage and have maintained a warm and friendly relationship.

The second wife of Vasily Bochkarev was the famous actress Lyudmila Rozanova, who gave birth to his daughter, who later chose the medical profession.
