Nadezhda Babkina is one of the brightest performers of folk songs, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. She gives recitals or performs with the "Russian Song" collective. Nadezhda Babkina is also a professor of art history and runs the Fashion Sentence program.
Childhood, adolescence
Nadezhda Georgievna was born on March 19, 1950 in the village. Cherny Yar (Astrakhan region) in the family of a hereditary Cossack. Her father worked as the chairman of a collective farm, her mother was a teacher. Everyone in Nadezhda's family loved music, knew how to sing and play musical instruments.
Since childhood, Nadezhda wanted to become an artist, she sang, performed in an amateur ensemble. But the parents wanted their daughter to receive the profession of a doctor. That is why she entered medical school, but studied for 1 semester. Then Nadezhda entered the Astrakhan School of Music.
But Nadezhda failed to finish her studies. She laid eyes on the man who was married and tried to take him away from the family. Upon learning of this, the head of the school decided to expel the student for immoral behavior. Nadia returned to her native village, where everyone already knew about this story. Unable to withstand the gossip, Babkina left for the capital and entered the Gnessin School. Nadezhda treated her studies very responsibly, at the same time she performed in the "Bayan" ensemble.
Creative career
In 1975, the Russian Song ensemble was created at the Gnesinsky School, where Nadezhda was also invited. A year later, the team successfully performed at the festival in Sochi. Babkina was a vocalist in the ensemble, later she became the artistic director.
In 1994, the ensemble acquired the status of a folklore center, and 6 years later the collective became known as a theater. At that time, Nadezhda received the specialty of a director at GITIS, when staging the numbers, she paid much attention to the appearance of the artists, the scenery, and lighting. The costumes for them were developed by famous designers (Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, etc.). All the performances were a real folk song festival. The team has become popular.
Since 1994, Nadezhda Babkina has released albums with folk songs in her performance. The artist also performed in a duet with other famous singers - Anne Veski, Alexander Marshal. She collaborated with Gennady Gladkov, Oleg Mityaev. In 2010, Babkina became the host of the "Fashionable Sentence" program. She also hosted a program on Russian Radio. The singer is actively involved in social activities, since 2001 she has been a member of the United Russia party.
Personal life
For the first time, Nadezhda fell deeply in love at the age of 17, Oleg Goldes, an honored artist, became her chosen one. Because of this story, she was expelled from the school. In 1974, Nadezhda Georgievna married Vladimir Zasedatelev, a musician. They had a son, Daniel. The marriage lasted 17 years and fell apart due to Vladimir's betrayal. In 2012, the musician died.
In 2003, Babkina met Yevgeny Gor (real name Gorshechkov), a singer. He is 30 years younger than Nadezhda. The relationship continues to this day, the singer is happy with it. In 2010, Nadezhda Babkina had a grandson, Georgy, and in 2013, a granddaughter, Vera.
