Sterling Brown (full name Kelby Sterling Brown) is an American actor and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series American Crime Story, where he played the lead role of Christopher Durden. Brown has won numerous Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

The child at birth was named Kelby Sterling, but later the young man began to use exclusively the middle name - Sterling, in memory of his father Sterling Brown.
The boy went to a regular school, but from early childhood he began to be interested in art and creativity. By the end of his studies, Sterling decided that he would definitely become an actor. He went to a local college. Then he went to New York to continue his studies at the university. Brown was educated in dramatic arts and graduated from the university with a master's degree.

Back in his student years, Brown began performing on the stage and continued his artistic career after graduation. He played many roles in the theater, but decided that he could achieve great success in the cinema.
