Dina Korzun is an English actress with Russian roots and a Ukrainian surname, who was joined by a Belgian after marriage, and she became Dina Korzun-Frank
Dina was born in Smolensk in 1971, and spent her happy childhood years in this city. She and her mother lived in a communal apartment, were friends with neighbors - it was a big friendly family. Children constantly played together, arranged concerts, inviting adults as spectators.
Dina grew up as a gifted child: she drew well, studied ballet. Therefore, she simultaneously attended an art school and a modern dance studio.
After school, Dina entered the pedagogical institute to study art graphics, but she did not feel much joy from this lesson. Then the future actress left the university and went to Moscow to enter the Moscow Art Theater School.
Then there were student years, when Dina realized that she had found "her own business."
Career in theater
In the penultimate year of the Moscow Art Theater School, Korzun played in the play "Love in the Crimea" - this was her first job. And after leaving school, she became an actress of the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov, where she was immediately entrusted with major roles: what are only Katerina in "The Thunderstorm" and Sonya Marmeladova in "Crime and Punishment".
However, the young actress was disappointed with her work in the theater: high school students came to the performances in groups, who were not interested in what was happening on the stage. And no matter how hard the actors did their best, the children's thoughts were not about the performance.
Therefore, in 2000, Korzun left the theater, as she thought, completely. However, later, in London, she will return to the stage again.
Film career
Dina began acting in films while still a student, and on the set she was much more interested in than in the theater - here she experienced a sense of satisfaction from what she loved. Especially after the painting "Country of the Deaf" (1998), which made her not only famous, but also beloved by the audience. And her work in the film was marked with prestigious awards for a successful debut: "Nika", "Golden Aries" and "Stars of Tomorrow."
It seemed that the role of the deaf-mute Yaya would bring her not only fame, but also new proposals from directors, but this did not happen - there were no interesting roles.
And only a few years later she was invited by the British director Pavel Pavlikovsky to the film "The Last Haven" (2000) about the fate of a Russian emigrant. Europe enthusiastically accepted this film, Korzun received many awards for it, but there was no film distribution in Russia.
Another major role is the role of a Russian girl in the film "Forty Shades of Sadness" (2004) by Hollywood director Ira Sachs. And again the award: the Grand Prix of the Sundance Festival.
The year 2007 has come - the year of Dina Korzun-Frank's return to the stage at the Royal National Theater in London. And here she not only embodies different images, but also acts as a producer.
And one of her last film roles took place in the series "Londongrad" in 2015.
In addition to theater and cinema, Korzun has another favorite brainchild: the Gift of Life foundation, which they created together with Chulpan Khamatova. The Foundation provides assistance to children with serious illnesses.
Personal life
Dina's first husband Ansar Hallulin disappeared from her life when their son Timur was one year old. With her second husband, Alexei Zuev, history repeated itself exactly: again, the little things in life became a stumbling block, and the couple parted.
The third marriage turned out to be strong, although Dina did not immediately realize that Louis Franck was her real half. He came to Russia to study the Stanislavsky system, and found his happiness.
At first, the talented couple could not find a common language, but as soon as they stopped altering each other, love won.
Now they live in London, they had two girls - Itala and Sophia. Dina's son Timur also quickly got used to the new family.
Now Dina is calm for her family: everyone is busy with their favorite things, like herself.
