Sergei Sosnovsky is one of the most demanded Russian film and theater actors. He has participated in 78 films and performances. The talented performer was awarded the title of People's and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
Sergei Valentinovich Sosnovsky is already over sixty. However, the famous actor has many creative plans.
Years of childhood and adolescence
Sergey Valentinovich was born in the Krasnodar Territory, in the village of Makrusha in 1955, on January 1. The childhood of the future famous performer was spent in his native village. The boy attended the drama club.
Immediately after completing his studies at school, Sosnovsky decided to find a solid job. He began to master the profession of a car mechanic. However, a friend persuaded the graduate in 1976 to go to Saratov for the company with him.
The young man easily entered the Saratov Theater School named after People's Artist of the RSFSR Ivan Artemyevich Slonov. The future actor studied at the course of Nadezhda Shlyapnikova.
After graduation, Sergei got a job at the Saratov Theater for Young Spectators. He had a chance to play in Chekhov's The Seagull by Treplev, in the production of What Is to Be Done? to reincarnate in Chernyshevsky, to be a jester Touchstone in Shakespeare's As You Like It.
Even the raven Abrahas from "Little Baba Yaga" was on the list of characters.
Creative plans
Having gained the experience necessary in the profession of an actor, Sosnovsky decided to organize his own theater in his native Siberia. However, before the trip, he received an offer to work at the Saratov Drama Theater.
Almost on the train, director Zekun intercepted the young performer and persuaded him to stay in the city. Sergey from 1985 to 2004 delighted his fellow countrymen by playing on the stage of the Saratov theater.
The work would have continued to this day, but in 2004 from Oleg Tabakov the artist received an invitation from the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater.
The actor's film debut took place when Sosnovsky was almost fifty. For a start, the age is more than mature. However, everything went well.
The film "My Stepbrother Frankenstein" won critical acclaim both at home and abroad. After the picture appeared on the screens, Sergei Valentinovich was convinced that the new process turned out to be exciting for him.
A year later, the actor admitted in an interview that cinematic magic will not fade for him even after years. Fees have become more tangible, but the work has increased significantly.
With enviable constancy, the performer was invited to television series, film projects, and television shows. Sosnovsky prepared for each new role as if for a film debut.
Creative growth
Critics quickly noticed that Sergei was a villain. In it, the actor looks the most organically. And the actor himself believes that the versatility of negative characters exceeds positive ones several times. After moving to the capital, Sosnovsky first lived in a hostel "Tabakerki".
A year later, the theater management offered the actor a separate apartment. After moving to Chekhov's Moscow Art Theater, the invited actor ended up in the second cast, rehearsing The Cherry Orchard. A performer who came from the provinces was involved in the productions of "The Last Day of Summer or Cultural Layer" and "Terrible Moon".
The new team turned out to be in many ways unusual for the actor. The performer told the fans about his work at the Moscow Art Theater in an interview. He touched upon issues of salary, routine, theater traditions. During his stay in Moscow, the actor played in fourteen productions.
Despite the late film start, the demand for Sosnovsky did not suffer. His film career after the sixtieth birthday is at its peak. In 2015, four paintings were released with his participation.
These are "Runaways", "All the best to all", "Method" and "According to the laws of wartime." Each year proved prolific with new filming proposals. The actor worked brilliantly in "Gentlemen-Comrades". He played in the projects "Clear water at the source", "Kuprin", "Kitchen", "At the bottom".
Awards and recognition
In terms of creativity, the new milestone brought many positive changes. The artist manages to shoot in three or four projects in a year at least. This number does not include theatrical performances.
The enormous work done by the performer for the theatrical stage could not be ignored by critics and cinematographers.
In 1993 Sosnovsky was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Seven years later, one confession was followed by another. The actor received the Golden Harlequin for Best Actor in 2000. Sergei Valentinovich became People's Artist in 2004.
Three years later he was nominated for the "Seagull" award for his performance in the play "The Pillow Man". For the same work in 2009, the actor became a laureate of the Oleg Tabakov Charity Prize for the image created in the play "The Pillow Man".
Almost simultaneously with this, Sergei Valentinovich was awarded the prize of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper for the best role in the production of The Eldest Son.
Family matters
Due to the busy creative schedule, there is not much time left for yourself. However, this situation did not negatively affect the artist's personal life. Sosnovsky is happily married.
He is in no hurry to talk about his wife. The press knows practically nothing about her. It is known that the performer's chosen one is in business.
She has her own travel agency in Saratov, which the businesswoman herself runs. After moving to the capital, the spouses had to part for a while.
The wife had to settle all the affairs in Saratov. After the theater management offered not a room in a hostel, but a full-fledged apartment in Moscow, he called his family to him.
Sosnovsky has two children. There is an adult daughter from his first marriage. The girl is trying to build her own acting career. The son is engaged in the work of an engineer and theater, as well as in cinema, he is not interested.
