Biography
The future princess and owner of the Oscar statuette was born in Philadelphia in 1929. Grace Patricia Kelly became the third child in a family of wealthy and secular parents. His father was engaged in the construction industry, his mother was a successful fashion model in her early years. Children were brought up in strict Catholic traditions, they attended school at the church.
Kelly first appeared on stage in early childhood when she was invited to participate in a Christmas scene for a Catholic school. At the age of 6, she performed the role of the Virgin Mary and from that time on she began to understand what she wanted to do in the future.
After leaving school, the girl, contrary to the opinion of her parents, moved to New York and began to study theatrical skills. Personal life
In 1954, the actress began dating the famous clothing designer Oleg Cassini. Kelly quickly accepted his engagement offer, but since the forty-year-old fashion designer had already been divorced twice this year, the girl's parents categorically forbade her to have anything to do with this man. The couple broke up.
In the same year, Grace Kelly met the thirteenth prince of Monaco. Two years later, a wedding ceremony took place, at which Kelly was awarded the title of Princess of Monaco. The couple had three children: two daughters and a son, the current prince of Monaco.
Grace Kelly died in a car accident in 1982 at the age of 53. From injuries incompatible with life, she died in a hospital, which was later renamed in her honor.
