The history of human civilization convincingly proves that success in professional activity is rarely accompanied by happiness in personal life. Looking at the always elegant Laima Vaikule, it is difficult to imagine what dramatic moments she had to endure.
A distant start
Many successful people admit that they had no idea of the difficulties they had to overcome on the way to achieving their goal. At one time, the famous poet noted that he would not have dared to make a debut if he knew what tricks awaited him in the creative field. Performers with excellent vocal abilities shone on the Soviet stage. However, this was not enough for full success. A memorable performance required a good song, looks and many other components. Laima Vaikule became a recognized performer, she herself did not expect it.
The future Soviet pop star was born on March 31, 1954 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the small town of Cesis, located on the territory of the Latvian SSR. His father worked in a repair company, and his mother worked in trade. In addition to Laima, two more sisters and a brother grew up in the house. Three years later, the family moved to a permanent place of residence in Riga. Here, in an ordinary secondary school, there were all the conditions for the harmonious development of the younger generation. Lyme began to regularly attend school choir classes.
Way to success
After the eighth grade, Lyme entered medical school, but did not quit singing. She continued to appear on stage with a choir and alone, performing vocal and instrumental works popular at that time. When the aspiring vocalist turned 15, she was accepted into the vocal group of Riga television as a soloist. From this moment, her professional activity on the stage begins. For several years Vaikule performed in the gallant variety show "Sea Pearl". But this was an intermediate stage before moving to the capital of Russia.
In the early 80s, Laima Vaikule came to Moscow and became a student of the director's department of the famous GITIS. The talented and textured performer was quickly noticed in the metropolitan get-together. After a short period of time, she met the famous poet Ilya Reznik. In 1986, Vaikule sang the song "Vernissage" to his words and the music of Raymond Pauls, which sounded in the television program "Song-86". Since that moment, lime has become a real pop star, which shines to this day.
Creativity and personal life
Over the years, the Vaikule - Pauls - Reznik union has presented masterpieces of vocal and instrumental creativity to grateful viewers. Unforgettable hits "I pray for you", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Charlie" are still played on the air. For many years of work and a significant contribution to the development of vocal and musical art, Lyme was awarded the Order of Friendship.
The singer's personal life was successful. For many years she has been living in a civil marriage with Andrei Latkovsky, a musician and producer. There are no children in the house. The singer devotes a lot of time and effort to the education of young performers, to whom she transfers her experience and love.
