Childhood and youth
According to the traditions that have developed over the years, many people begin to engage in literary creativity in the second half of their conscious life. By this time, they have a desire to record on paper their impressions of their experiences in childhood and adolescence. Such works are called memoirs. Vladimir Grigorievich Kolychev "took the pen in hand" being an old man. This action was prompted by the successful experience of colleagues who successfully published their books. Their works did not stagnate in bookstore windows.
The future creator of crime novels was born on January 1, 1968 in the family of a career officer in the Soviet Army. The family at that time lived in the famous city of Tiraspol. My father served in the local garrison. Mother worked there in the library. Vladimir grew up as a sociable and intelligent child. He learned to read early. In preschool age, he liked to come to his mother at work and choose the books that were suitable for himself. Most of all he liked the novels about travel around the world and the adventures of American Indians.
Professional activity
When the time came to choose a profession, Kolychev had no doubts. From a young age he was determined to follow in his father's footsteps. Vladimir entered the Leningrad Higher Military Technical School, which he graduated with honors. The young lieutenant was assigned for further service in the strategic anti-aircraft missile forces. Kolychev had to serve in different regions of the Soviet Union. The officer career was developing successfully. But in the early 90s, the situation noticeably changed for the worse.
The allowance was not paid regularly. Then Major Kolychev decided to quit his job as a citizen. By that time, he already had manuscripts of several novels in his desk. Vladimir was embarrassed to show them to a professional editor, because he did not have a literary education. However, after some hesitation, the aspiring author paid a visit to one of the Moscow publishing houses. Here a detailed conversation took place, after which Kolychev already clearly knew how the publishing business lived and what he needed to do.
Recognition and privacy
The first novel, which came out in 1993, was called Black Raven, I'm Not Yours. Six months later, readers received the Black Swan crime story. According to the signed contract, the writer undertook to bring a new work to the publishing house every three months. It was hard labor.
During a difficult period, Kolycheva was supported by her husband. The personal life of a retired major has developed reliably. He married as a final year student. Husband and wife steadfastly endured the garrison life. And then the writing routine. They have a son who is equal to his father.
