It is believed that the youngest religion in the world is Islam, whose birth dates back to 610. It was in this year that the angel Jabrail appeared in a dream to the forty-year-old prophet Muhammad and dictated the first five verses of the Koran. But recently it turned out that there is a religion that is much younger - it is no more than 150 years old and its name is Bahá'í.

Step 1
The history of the birth of the Bahá'í religion is one of the most peaceful compared to the birth of Judaism, Christianity or Islam. As Christianity was once expelled from Judaism, so from Islam a branch of Bahá'ís split off. In Russian, the name of the new religion is translated as the religion of Light, since the word "baha" in translation from Arabic means light, radiance or glory.

The Bahá'í symbol is the nine-pointed star. Bahá'í devotees greet each other with "Allah-u Abha", which means "God is Glorious." At the initial stage of the formation of religion, the greeting sounded in a more Muslim interpretation, like "Alla-u Akbar".

In the 60s of the XIX century in Iraq, on the basis of one of the Islamic movements, the founder of which was the young Iranian merchant Sayyid Ali Muhammad Shirazi, a new teaching and belief arose, which over time grew and strengthened, attracting an increasing number of supporters. One of these supporters was the Iranian nobleman Mirza Hussein Ali, better known as Bahá'u'lláh. It was thanks to his educational efforts that religion began to spread throughout the world.

At the age of 27, in 1844, Bahá'u'lláh renounced the inheritance of his family and began to practice an ascetic lifestyle, since the main idea of Bahá'í teachings is to protect the poor and disadvantaged from corruption and arbitrary power. Subsequently, the heirs of Bahá'u'lláh became the leaders of the new religious cult.

It was one of the last successors of the Bahá'í founder, namely his grandson Shoghi Effendi, who became the Bahá'í guide in the Western European world, as it was he who translated many of the Bahá'í scriptures and covenants from Arabic into English.

There are now more than 5 million Bahá'í adepts around the world. Perhaps, at present, there is not a single country where the followers of the new faith did not live. This belief positions itself as a unifying world religion, based on several unshakable postulates.

First: humanity is one family and the time has come for it to unite into a peaceful global society.
Step 8
Second, economic problems are related to spiritual problems. Economic justice and prosperity will come only when the fundamental link between spiritual and practical aspects of life is recognized.

Third: the truth is comprehensible. A person is obliged to explore it and acquire new knowledge.
Step 10
Fourth: God is one. The entire universe was created by one Creator. God manifested Himself through the Messengers, who founded all world religions in order to direct the teaching of mankind with peace and instructions.
Step 11
Fifth: humanity is one family. In a single family there can be no division into races, nations, ethnic or cultural groups.
Step 12
Sixth: women and men are equal - this is an obligatory postulate of the development of mankind and the transformation of society.
Step 13
In 1963, the Baha'i adherents created the Universal House of Justice, which currently manages all the affairs of the Baha'i religion in the international community and coordinates the activities of all spiritual communities.
