Childhood and youth

National fame and love came to this actor in adulthood. His acting fate is inseparable from the fate of his native country. The future People's Artist of the Soviet Union was born on April 14, 1915 in a noble family. At that time, the parents lived in Moscow. Father sat in the Assembly of the Nobility. Mother, according to an old tradition, was engaged in raising children and housekeeping. After the October Revolution of 1917, many relatives left their homeland and moved some to France, and some to the United States. But the Glebovs decided to share their fate with Russia.

To survive the hard times, the family moved to the village of Nazaryevo near Moscow. Here was a stud farm that belonged to my grandfather. Peter was fortunate enough to ride a horse for the first time at the age of four. They chose a quiet horse so as not to scare the child. The style of village life was significantly different from the urban one. Glebov had to get up early and go to the stable to look after his pet. Petya dreamed of becoming a hussar. In the evenings, the children gathered under the windows of a large house, and sang songs to the grandfather's accordion.
