Starting conditions

People with positive talent are not very common. Evgeny Grigorievich Martynov, a popular pop performer, had a voice of a special, velvety timbre. His songs, aired on radio or television, were immediately picked up by grateful viewers. Catchy melodies and soulful song lyrics gave people joy and a desire to live in harmony with the world around them. The song "Apple Trees in Bloom" possessed a special magical property. The singer, while performing this song himself, seemed to radiate life-affirming energy.

The future performer and composer was born on May 22, 1948 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the city of Kamyshin, Stalingrad region. My father taught music and singing lessons at one of the local schools. The mother worked as a nurse in a district clinic. When the boy was three years old, the Martynovs moved to Donbass, to their father's homeland. The boy showed early musical ability. The fact is that at home Russian and Ukrainian folk songs were often sounded, which the head of the family loved to sing.

Creative activity

Eugene learned to play the button accordion and accordion at home. When the age approached, the boy was enrolled in a music school, where he mastered the technique of playing the clarinet. After graduating from high school, Martynov decided to get a higher musical education and entered the conductor-wind faculty of the Donetsk Pedagogical Institute. Already in his student years, he was persistently engaged in the creation of musical compositions. Several romances and pieces for clarinet and piano came out from under his pen. After receiving his diploma, the young specialist came to work as the head of the pop orchestra of the Donetsk Research Institute of Explosion-Proof Equipment.

In 1972 Martynov wrote the song "Birch" on the verses of Sergei Yesenin, which was performed by Maya Kristalinskaya. The audience and critics liked the song. A year later, the young composer moved to Moscow. He was hired by Rosconcert as a soloist. With a huge workload at the main place of work, Eugene writes songs to the verses of Ilya Reznik, Mikhail Plyatskovsky, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Andrey Dementiev. In addition to this, he managed to record records at the Melodiya studio.

Recognition and privacy

By the end of the 70s, the name of Yevgeny Martynov became known throughout the Soviet Union. He traveled a lot to the cities and villages of the great country with concerts. In the most remote corners of the Union they knew and loved the songs "Father's Letter", "Land of Flowers", "Echo of First Love". For his great contribution to the aesthetic education of youth, Martynov was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize.

The personal life of Yevgeny Martynov has developed well. He married only once. The husband and wife raised their son. By a tragic accident, the singer died of cardiac arrest at the age of forty-three.
