Childhood and youth

Evgeny Alexandrovich Morgunov was born on April 27, 1927 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in the city of Moscow. My father worked at the famous cutting tools factory. Mother worked as a nurse in a polyclinic. In childhood, Zhenya was no different from his peers. The favorite game of the boys of that time was football. Creative way
Morgunov played various roles in amateur performances. But he wanted to become a professional actor. In 1943, the young man wrote a letter to Comrade Stalin, in which he asked him for help in entering the drama school. Wrote not really hoping for an answer. However, two weeks later the director of the Fraser plant received a letter with a request to send Eugene to the theater school at the Moscow Chamber Theater. After the first year of study, he transferred to VGIK and took a course in the workshop of Sergei Gerasimov. In 1948 he received a diploma and entered the service at the Theater of the Film Actor.
The first significant role was entrusted to Morgunov to play in the film "Young Guard". After this project, the actor starred in patriotic films for more than ten years. Such films flew across the screens of the country and were forgotten a week later. In the early 60s, the actor was invited to participate in a series of comedy films directed by Leonid Gaidai.
