Before career

Emilio Estevez was born on May 12, 1962 in New York, Staten Island, into a creative family. Estevez's father, Martin Sheen, was an actor, and Janet Templeton's mother was an artist. Sister Rene Estevez, as well as brothers Ramon Estevez and Charlie Sheen, grew up with Emilio in the family.

When it was time to go to school, Emilio was sent to an ordinary public school. Estevez did not study in it for long - his father's career grew rapidly, and after a while he has the opportunity to study at a prestigious private academy, which Emilio uses.

The future actor was able to shoot impressions on camera at an early age. Already at the age of 11, his parents buy a video camera for him. Together with his brother Charlie and school friends, Emilio makes short films, for which he himself came up with scripts. Moreover, he had little experience in his unusual hobby for a child, since about the same period he took part in the filming of a short film entitled "Meet Mr. Bomb".

In 1980, Emilio graduated from high school and refused to go to college in favor of the desire to become an actor. He did not take his father's surname in principle, since he wanted to be perceived as a serious actor, and not as the son of a famous artist.

Actor and director career

In the first year after graduation, Emilio managed to sign a contract with the acting group "Brat Pack", and in 1982 - starred in the film "Tex".

Luck smiled at him after the very first project. The career began to grow rapidly. In 1983, Estevez starred in the films Outcast and Nightmares. In 1985 he took part in the films "The Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmo's Lights", in which he received the main roles. The actor got another leading role in the same year in the film "It was then … It is now", after which Emilio wants to try himself as a director.

The film "Bobby", released in 2006, became a good start for the director's career. Emilio also took part in directing in the films "The Way" and "Public Library".

Emilio was fortunate enough to work in a sound studio. Estevez has voiced the animated characters in the cartoons "City of Sorcerers" (2003), "Arthur and the Miniputes" (2006) and "Letter to Dracula" (2012).

Personal life

The actor practically does not share his personal life. It is known that his first wife was Carey Sally. In 1984, they had a son, Taylor, and two years later, a daughter was born. Internal conflicts did not allow the marriage to last long, and it came to its logical conclusion in the late 1980s.

In 1992, the man fell in love again. This time to a singer named Paula Julie Abdul. The love turned out to be mutual. In the same year, the wedding took place. Julie once confessed that Estevez became her first true love. The marriage did not last more than two years. The couple divorced, but there is still a friendly atmosphere between them.
