The world might not recognize actor Ryan Quanten if one day an Australian shark showed great determination and ate a young surfer for lunch. But luck that day was not on her side. Ryan's career as an actor could also have failed if his mother hadn't taken him to audition to support his brother, as a result of which the younger brother failed and he passed. Today, the performer of provocative roles in TV series and feature films Ryan Kwanten is full of ideas and creative plans.
Biography
Ryan Kwanten was born in 1976 in Sydney, Australia. His father worked as a lifeguard at sea, and his mother worked for a charitable organization. Ryan's father instilled in Ryan a love of sports, and as a child he was quite successful in golf, biathlon, tennis and surfing. Once at sea, he had to escape from a group of sharks, and he did it successfully.
Ryan planned to connect his life with one of the sports, which he had been involved in since childhood. However, the case decided everything for him: by mistake he got to audition for an acting agency instead of his younger brother Mitchell, and passed the casting.
So suddenly, in high school, Kwanten became an aspiring actor. When he was sixteen, his first role in the series "Primitive Practice" came.
However, then Ryan did not fully figure out what he wanted to do in life, and therefore entered the University of Sydney to get a business education. In parallel, he acted in films: so, in his student years, Kwanten began work on the role of Winnie Patterson in the popular soap opera Home and Away, in which he participated for five years in a row.
Realizing that acting was his calling, he moved to California to find recognition for his acting talent there.
Career in Hollywood
Ryan's ambition at that time was not lacking, and he began to go to castings, hoping to get a worthy role. A few months later, he played a cameo role in the film "The Operative".
At the beginning of 2004, Kwanten was finally invited to the lead role in the TV series "Eternal Summer", then there were episodic roles again. And 2008 brought the actor real fame: viewers saw him in the mystical series "True Blood". The film was highly appreciated by both critics and viewers, Ryan began to be recognized on the street.
Since then, Ryan Kwanten's filmography has been replenished with dozens of roles. Critics consider his best films to be Flick (2006) and Legends of the Night Watchmen (2010), among the series they call The Wizard: Land of the Great Dragon (1997) and The New Girl (2018).
Kwanten also has production projects - he wants to help young actors to promote, because he remembers how difficult it was for him at first in Hollywood.
Ryan successfully combines creativity with sports: he is still surfing, and also leads yoga classes.
Personal life
In this regard, journalists have very contradictory information. On the one hand, they actively started talking about Kwanten's gay after a frank scene in the True Blood series.
On the other hand, Ryan is constantly seen in the company of Ashley Cisino, and this suggests the exact opposite. Once the couple was spotted in a children's store, and the rumors never ended.
One way or another, however, Ashley and Ryan live in a magnificent house near Venice Beach, go to social events together and enjoy life, judging by their faces in the photographs.
