Modern means of communication and navigation will help you quickly find your way even in an unfamiliar city. So, for example, using the Yandex Maps application in your mobile phone, you can find the location of any house.
Instructions
Step 1
Enter your phone number in the form on the website https://mobile.yandex.ru/maps. Receive an SMS with a link. Follow this link and download the program to your phone or simply type in your browser: m.ya.ru/ymm. Download the app.
Step 2
Determine if your phone can support Yandex cards. Follow the link m.ya.ru/ymm from your phone and select the appropriate version of the application for your model, if available.
Step 3
If, when downloading the application, you were asked to accept an unsigned certificate unknown to you, then this means that there is no certificate for your model yet. You can continue installing the program as usual.
Step 4
After the application is loaded, a corresponding shortcut will appear on the screen of your phone. If your phone model is based on Symbian platform, the application will be available in the Applications submenu. If your phone supports Java MIDP2.0 or Windows Mobile, it will appear in the Applications menu.
Step 5
Check out the list of cities whose schemes can be explored using the Yandex Maps application (more than 120 cities in Russia and Ukraine). If the city you need is not yet on the list, subscribe to updates that are published constantly.
Step 6
Select the map (if it is in the list) and a specific place on the map by pressing the center key of your phone (or with a stylus directly on the desired point). In the context menu that appears, select the map scale you need. In addition, in the future, the context menu will allow you to set the routes of any of your movements around the city.
Step 7
To find the address you need, use the search function in the context menu. If your phone has only a keyboard - press "4", if it has a touch screen - tap the search area with the stylus. In the window that appears, enter the desired address (for example, "Lenin, 1"). Confirm the correct entry. In the list of suitable addresses, select the one you were looking for (if possible). The selected location will be shown on the map.
