Biography

Alexey Zharkov was born in post-war Moscow in 1948. He was brought up in a large and rather poor family, but his parents tried to give their children all the best. The future actor attended an art studio, played musical instruments and, of course, was fond of theater. After graduating from school, he continued his education at the Moscow Art Theater School, and then got a job as an actor at the Theater. Maria Ermolova, where he worked for over 30 years.

Already in adolescence, Alexei Zharkov was involved in cinema. He played a small role in the film for young viewers "Hello, Children!", As well as in the comedy "Summer is Gone". Having already taken place as a theatrical actor, Zharkov starred in the films "Experts lead the investigation", "Rift" and some others. His popularity increased even more with the paintings "We were not crowned in the church" and "Torpedo bombers". The actor was especially good at shooting in historical films and musicals.

In the 2000s, Alexei Zharkov starred in the famous serial films "Secrets of Palace Revolutions" and "Penal Battalion", the series "Border", "Deadly Force" and "Champion", as well as the film "Ward No. 6". In the last years of his life, he managed to take part in the filming of the acclaimed film by Andrey Zvyagintsev "Leviathan". During this period, the actor suffered a stroke, and his health deteriorated greatly. Alexey Zharkov died in 2016 after a heart attack and was buried at the Pokrovsky (Selyatinsky) cemetery.

Personal life

Alexey Zharkov met his future wife in 1972. She turned out to be a girl named Love. She worked as a flight attendant, but the actor met her not during the flight, but in the theater: Love was so staring at his game that she decided to personally express her gratitude, and he immediately invited the girl out on a date.

A month later, the lovers got married. This marriage turned out to be happy and lasted until the end of the life of Alexei Zharkov. Children were born in it - daughter Anastasia and son Maxim. The first decided to follow in her father's footsteps and became a theater actress, and the second went to work for the police.
