Instructions
Step 1
Find the room in which you want to organize an exhibition. When choosing a room, it is necessary to take into account - its area (depending on the number of objects on display and the number of people that you expect to attract to the exhibition), location (it is better if the place is available, ideally find a gallery in the central part of the city), reputation (find out, what kind of exhibitions are usually held in this gallery, does your project fit into the concept of this place?). Usually, it is easy to negotiate a small lease with galleries, some even provide premises for free, if the project is interesting to them.
Step 2
Take care of the decoration of the hall. Determine clearly how you want to arrange the displayed objects in the hall. Objects can be arranged by color, by theme, by technique, chronological order, etc. As a rule, the central place is given to the brightest work or the most significant for the author himself.
Step 3
Think about what the opening of the exhibition will be. Often an event is organized on the opening night: watching a short film (for example, an interview with the author), a performance by a musical group, or just an introductory speech by the authors, curators and everyone interested.
