Gennady Khazanov - Russian comedian and actor, People's Artist of the RSFSR. Behind him are numerous images created on stage and in the cinema, as well as the leadership of the famous Variety Theater.
Biography
Gennady Khazanov was born in 1945 in post-war Moscow. His mother, Iraida Moiseevna, who worked as an engineer, but in her free time plays on the stage of one of the amateur theaters of the capital, was engaged in his upbringing. All of Gennady's childhood was spent behind the scenes of the institution where his mother played. He not only got carried away with the stage, but at school age he began to skillfully parody classmates and teachers. In addition, the boy attended a music school, but never managed to become a virtuoso in the world of music.
The future artist enthusiastically watched the performances of his idol Arkady Raikin and once even managed to get to know and talk to him. The comedian quickly found a common language with the teenager and invited him to attend his concerts for free. After school, Gennady Khazanov immediately rushed to apply to all well-known theatrical universities, but received refusal after refusal. Disappointed in the dream, the young man decided, like his mother, to become an engineer and entered the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. Kuibyshev.
During his studies, Khazanov did not stop playing on stage and soon realized that he could not live without her. Then he transferred to the State Theater and Circus School. After that, Gennady began to work as an entertainer for Leonid Utesov himself, and later moved to the Mosconcert. It was on his stage that Khazanov began performing with his humorous and parody monologues. In 1974, the artist won the All-Union Contest of Variety Artists, and has already become the star of a reprise on television.
In 1978, Gennady Khazanov had to create his own theater MONO. The reason for this was an attempt by the authorities to censor his speeches. The already famous artist was also invited to play on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater, and in 1997 he was appointed head of the Moscow Variety Theater, holding this position to the present. Often he acts in films, and the comedian is well remembered for his roles in the films "The Magic Lantern", "The Little Giant of Big Sex", the TV series "Jumble", "My Fair Nanny", "Who's the Boss?" and many others. He has also been a member of the jury of competitive TV shows on the country's main channels more than once.
Personal life
Gennady Khazanov is married to Zlata Iosifovna, a former assistant to theater director Mark Rozovsky and now the personal manager of the famous parodist. Their acquaintance began back in 1969 and subsequently turned into a strong marriage union. The couple had a daughter, Alisa, who over the years became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater. Today she left the stage and is raising two daughters.
Gennady Viktorovich and Zlata Iosifovna lead a quiet and modest life. In 1987, they almost got into a plane crash: a plane with artists, flying from Moscow to the United States, quickly returned back to the airport due to a malfunction discovered in time. Many years ago, the Khazanovs applied for Israeli citizenship, which was approved. Today their second home is Tel Aviv.
