A few years ago, Alexander Us pleased biathlon fans with his successes. The audience is accustomed to his famous "left-handed" stance when shooting while standing. Not showing consistently high results in individual races, Us managed to establish himself as an experienced relay fighter and even once became a world champion in this kind of sports program.
Alexander Us: facts from the biography
The future talented Norwegian biathlete was born in the city of Feuske on January 21, 1980. The athlete spent his childhood in a picturesque place, which is part of the historic district of Salten. The city is located on the northern coast of the Skjerstadfjord.
Us studied at the ski department of the gymnasium for about three years. At some point, his attention was drawn to the winter biathlon. Once he tried his hand at shooting, renting someone else's rifle. Target shooting was to his liking. Subsequently, the athlete acquired his own weapon. As a result, Alexander became seriously interested in biathlon, making this sport his profession.
Career of Alexander Us
As a member of the national team of his country, Us made his debut in 2000, taking part in the World Junior Championships, held in Hochfilzen (Austria). Two years later, Alexander appeared at the European Cup, where he competed for two seasons. Us did not have enough stars from the sky, but continued to train hard, improving his shooting and skiing techniques.
At the very end of the 2003/2004 season, Us got the right to measure strength with the best shooting skiers of the planet at the World Cup. A year later, he was among the top ten athletes. He finished ninth in the prestigious pursuit race.
Us climbed the biathlon podium for the first time in the 2006/2007 season - he became the second in the sprint. In subsequent years, Alexander repeated this success twice. He managed to take two "silver": in the individual and sprint races.

"Worker" of the Norwegian biathlon
The peculiarity of the technique of the Norwegian biathlete was that he was left-handed. Therefore, at the shooting range, Usa could always be recognized by a non-standard stance.
But the Norwegian athlete is famous not only for his left-handedness. The main character traits of Usa are great diligence and ability to achieve goals. He was always inspired by the example of biathlete Halvar Hanevold. He's also seriously considering switching to a coach role. Us tried his hand in this field back in 2008, having worked as an instructor at a summer ski school in Norway. The biathlete easily finds a common language with young people and is happy to share his knowledge with them.
Alexander Us speaks of his parents with great warmth. The family has always supported him in all his endeavors. And not only morally, but at the beginning of a career and financially.
But Us does not like to spread about his relationship with the female sex at all, protecting this corner of his personal life from prying eyes.
