Kirill Pletnev's finest hour was the moment of the release of the film "Saboteur". Subsequent films consolidated their success. In recent years, Pletnev has starred in many films. And in almost all of them he gets the role of the first plan. The actor takes creativity seriously and even refuses to participate in the filming if the script does not meet his strict requirements.
From the biography of Kirill Pletnev
The future actor and director was born on December 30, 1979 in Kharkov (Ukraine). Shortly after the birth of Kirill, his parents moved to Leningrad. Cyril has a younger brother, Mikhail. Pletnev's father was an engineer-inventor, his mother worked as a dance teacher. Kirill helped his mother run ballroom dance competitions.
Kirill was 13 years old when his father left the family. Pletnev Sr. did not see the children again. Mom raised her sons. She instilled in them a love of sports and taught them to achieve their goals, no matter how difficult they may seem at first glance.
During his school years, Kirill was going to become a professional athlete. He went to a tourist club, went in for swimming, taekwondo. Kirill also attended a specialized football section, although in fact he did not really like this game, as he admits in an interview.
The actor told reporters that in his youth he was rough, impudent and pugnacious. I read a lot, was fond of poetry. And he even tried to write poetry himself. He loved walking alone. And after the ninth grade he became interested in theater.
Kirill graduated from high school with a theatrical bias: he managed to convince his mother that this direction corresponds to his inclinations. The class was specialized in theater criticism. However, Pletnev did not want to become a critic. He was not too attracted by the career of an actor. Most of all, Pletnev wanted to be a director. In his senior class, Pletnev even wrote an essay, where he substantiated his choice and wrote why he was interested in performing arts.
In 1996, Kirill made an attempt to enter the directing department of the St. Petersburg Theater Academy. But it failed. He was considered not mature enough for the director's profession and was recommended to enter the acting department. Cyril did just that.
During his student years, Pletnev took part in several serious theatrical productions. Gradually, Kirill came to understand that he can embody creative ideas not only in the director's chair, but also on stage, creating diverse roles.
Theatrical career of Kirill Pletnev
In 2000, Pletnev received his higher education. He had to decide on a place of work. However, there was no recruitment to local theaters. Kirill decided to try his luck in the capital of Russia. There were vacancies at the MDT of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, at the theater of Alexander Kalyagin and at the School of Modern Play by Joseph Reichelgauz. After reflection, Pletnev chose Dzhigarkhanyan's troupe, where he worked for the next three seasons. He was busy in "The Tales of the Learned Cat", in "The Inspector General". And then, according to Pletnev himself, he was kicked out.
The actor admitted that after graduation, his ideas about how the creative process is organized in theaters were very far from reality. For example, it was extremely difficult for Pletnev to rehearse roles and play in those productions that he did not like. Therefore, Kirill is even grateful to the director for the decision to fire the intractable actor.
Since 2003, Pletnev collaborated with director Irina Keruchenko for some time. It was comfortable to work: they were united by common principles of working out artistic images, which made it possible to take into account the complex and contradictory motivation of the heroes of the works. Work in cinematography
Pletnev began acting in films in 2001. His debut was the role in the episode "Summer Season" of the TV series "Deadly Power": he entered the cinema with the barely noticeable role of a security guard at a bank. Subsequently, Kirill, who did not have a chance to serve in the army, more than once successfully played military personnel. These roles include:
- Bobrikov ("Saboteur");
- Sergeant Nelipa (The Soldiers);
- Dubinin ("Penal Battalion");
- Lieutenant Kudinov ("Desantura").
When Pletnev had the opportunity to choose roles himself from the many proposals coming from the directors, he decided to prove to everyone and to himself that he was able to go beyond the usual role. Kirill more than once had to abandon those scenarios that were not sufficiently worked out.
The actor admits that he would love to play in those films that require a deep transformation from him. In this sense, Pletnev considers Robert de Niro as a model for himself.
In 2011, five films were released, in which Pletnev participated. In 2012 - three such paintings, in 2013 - four, and in 2014 - six. Among Kirill's creative works are the drama "Metro", the serial film "Once Upon a Time in Rostov", the film "Fort Ross: In Search of Adventure".
The number of roles played by Kirill in cinema and theater has reached a hundred.
In 2014, Pletnev graduated from VGIK (faculty of screenwriting and film directing). The young director's diploma work was the film Nastya, which won the main prize at the 2015 Kinotavr festival.
Pletnev does not intend to stop in his creative development. He strives to continually improve his acting and directing skills. The short film Mama, shot by Pletnev, won the Golden Eagle Festival Prize.
Personal life of Kirill Pletnev
Cyril has always enjoyed success with women. Even in his school years, he had no shortage of fans. During his studies at the theater academy, he almost got married - student Ksenia Katalymova became his hobby. There were also novels with colleagues on the set of films. Alisa Grebenshchikova and Tatiana Arntgolts are called among the star darlings of Kirill.
The first wife of Pletnev was the actress of the Maly Theater Lydia Milyuzina. They met during the filming of the film "Looking for You". In 2010, young people legalized their relationship. A year later, the couple had a son, Fedor; in 2012, a son, George, was born. However, in the same year, the conjugal union broke up. According to rumors, the reason was Cyril's betrayal.
The current chosen one of Kirill is Nino Ninidze, daughter of the People's Artist of Georgia Ia Ninidze. Beloved eleven years younger than Pletnev. In 2015, a common-law couple had a son, Alexander.
