Brief biography and career of Irina Petrovna Kupchenko
On March 1, 1948, the future domestic actress was born in Vienna. The family's nomadic lifestyle, associated with her father's profession, eventually brought her to Kiev. Here Ira studied at a secondary school, at the same time attending theater and choreographic circles. It is this city that she still considers her family.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Kupchenko, at the insistence of her parents, entered Kiev University in 1965, where she studied for only one year. Due to the death of her father, she and her mother moved to Moscow, where she immediately entered the Shchukin Theater School.
While studying at the capital's university, Irina Kupchenko made her cinematic debut. Andron Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky's painting "The Noble Nest", where the aspiring actress starred in the role of Lisa Kalitina, became a real startup for a talented girl. The next year, the venerable director invites her again to his film project. Sonya's character in the film "Uncle Vanya" after Chekhov strengthened the role of the actress, in which she appears before the audience as a strong-willed and staunch woman.
In the opinion of the actress herself, it was this director who played the most important role in her creative destiny, giving her the knowledge and skills base that later came in handy for her. And then a whole series of film projects followed, where Kupchenko played the role of important characters. The paintings "Inner Circle", "Romance of Lovers", "Prank", "Lonely Woman Wants to Meet" and "Others' Letters" were able to be appreciated by millions of fans and made them really popular in our country.
Today, the filmography of Irina Kupchenko has more than nine dozen film projects. And in the professional portfolio of the People's Artist of the RSFSR there are many theatrical projects, among which fans will remember the most "The Last Night of the Last Tsar", "Hamlet", "Cyrano de Bergerac" and "Eugene Onegin".
Personal life of the actress
Behind the shoulders of the family life of a talented actress there are two marriages and two sons. The first husband of Irina Kupchenko was in 1969 Nikolai Dvigubsky (cousin of Marina Vlady). Unfortunately, this family union did not last long.
And in 1972, the artist married her colleague in the creative workshop Vasily Lanovoy, with whom she still lives in peace and harmony. This strong family and creative union, filled with love and mutual respect, brought the spouses two sons: Alexander (1973) and Sergei (1976). Both sons, with the approval of their parents, decided not to follow in their footsteps, graduating from the history and economics faculties of Moscow State University, respectively.
To the great grief of the parents, a terrible tragedy happened in 2013 - their son Sergei died. After this news, Lanovoy flawlessly performed his role in the performance that took place that day, and Kupchenko canceled all performances. But after a short period of time, with the support of her husband, she found the strength and resumed her creative activity on the stage and film sets.
