This speaks of a person's indifference and readiness to subordinate the personal to the general, to deal with the affairs of the whole country. Elena herself says that she got her character from her mother, who was brought up in a family of Old Believers. However, dad, who served in the army with the rank of lieutenant colonel, was also not a weak ten.
Lena was born in 1948 in the city of Uralsk, in the west of Kazakhstan. And then the military fate of her father threw their family into the Leningrad region, where she spent her childhood.
They lived in the city of Pushkin, where Lena graduated from high school, and then from the Institute of Culture - the current SPbGIK, and became a director of folk dances. Then there was the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, the acting department.
Film career
Elena Drapeko quickly burst into the cinema immediately after graduation: it was the role of Liza Brichkina in the film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet". The audience fell in love with the cheerful Siberian woman, and everyone remembered it as such - perky, young and courageous. This image became the hallmark of the actress, and many critics claim that she became the most stellar in her career.
Soon, Elena began to be invited to various films, and she starred, but most of them were episodic roles. In 1976 came the main role: she played the role of Olga Muromtseva in the film "Fatherless". Critics then wrote that this picture would be one of the treasures of the golden fund of Soviet cinema. The heroine Drapeko turned out to be so real, the acting of the actress was so heartfelt that many spectators in the hall cried. For this role, the actress received a high award - the Lenin Komsomol Prize.
One can also note the "late period" in the acting biography of Elena Grigorievna: this is the film "The Lonely Hostel is Provided", where Mkrtchyan wanted to return his wife to the heroine Natalia Gundareva; the film novel "A Step Towards" with a whole team of Soviet cinema stars; comedy "Window to Paris" and others.
Political activity
Elena Grigorievna has always been an activist in life: she was a member of the Union of Cinematographers, a member of the trade union, helped in organizing the Guild of Actors, went to concerts in Afghanistan. And in the 90s, she completely switched to political activity. In 1999, she became a member of the third convocation of the Federal Assembly of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Much has been done, and her work has been awarded the Order of Friendship.
Personal life
Elena's first marriage was short-lived, and she herself considers it a youthful mistake. The second time she married Oleg Belov, a Leningrad actor. They had known each other from the institute, and had been married for 17 years. In 1983, they had a daughter, Anastasia, who became a journalist and TV presenter. She has a daughter, so Elena Grigorievna is a happy grandmother.
Drapeko's third marriage also fell apart, according to rumors, due to political differences. The general public knows practically nothing about this, because Elena Grigorievna does not want to advertise her personal life.
She is still actively involved in politics in the "Fair Russia" party, she is a State Duma deputy, as well as a member of the UNESCO commission.
