The name of Alexander Solonik has become a legend of the underworld of the 90s. The killer committed several dozen high-profile murders and escaped from custody three times. Due to his special method of shooting, he received the nickname "Macedonian".
early years
Sasha was born in the city of Kurgan in 1960. Father worked in a locomotive depot, mother worked in medicine. After serving compulsory military service, he became interested in wrestling and sports shooting. The young man began his career in the city's patrol service. Then for the first time he thought about getting a special education, but he did not have to finish his studies at the police school. After being fired from the authorities, he got a job as a worker at the Kurgan cemetery. It was there that he met future "colleagues" from the Kurgan organized criminal group. All this series of circumstances predetermined the further fate of Alexander.
Hitman career
In 1987, the court for the first time imprisoned Solonik for rape. Right in the hall where the verdict was announced, under the guise of saying goodbye to his wife, he pushed the guards away and fled. A month and a half later, the fugitive was detained in Tyumen and a new term was appointed. But he was not going to serve it to the end, and after serving a couple of years, he made an escape using the prison sewer system. Two months later, Alexander committed the first murder. The victim turned out to be the head of a local criminal group.
Since 1990, the killer has settled in Orekhovo-Zuevo near Moscow. He went to the capital as if to work, prepared and fulfilled orders for the elimination of competitors. Then in Moscow there was a record high crime rate, the number of murders exceeded 2000 a year. "Sasha the Macedonian" was considered the best specialist in this area, several "authorities" were killed by his bullets every week. The most notorious crimes were the elimination of the leaders of the Bauman organized criminal group Valery Dlugach and Vladislav Vanner, as well as the death of Viktor Nikiforov, the adopted son of the famous Yaponchik.
Solonik had two passions in his life. The first big love was weapons. He could talk about him for hours, with inspiration. He knew the technical characteristics of each, and even brought the machine home to adjust to the necessary parameters for himself. In his apartment, the arsenal occupied an entire study. The second big weakness of the killer was the female sex. To impress a girl, he could easily spend several thousand dollars in one evening. The women reciprocated him. I must say that a stormy personal life led to the fact that Alexander created a family three times, he had a daughter and a son.
Arrest and escape
Solonik was detained in 1994. When arrested, he did not offer resistance, and already entering the building, unexpectedly for everyone, he took out a "Glock" and shot four law enforcement officers at point-blank range. The seventeen-shot Austrian pistol was his favorite weapon. During the return fire, Alexander was wounded, this time he could not escape. He was kept in "Matrosskaya Tishina", where he confessed to two dozen crimes, in total, almost thirty criminal episodes appeared in the investigation. Solonik feared for his life and planned another escape. Earlier, no one had managed to leave the famous pre-trial detention center. This time Aleksandr had an assistant - the warder of the isolation ward, according to the case file, specially introduced by the killer's friends for his release. Together they climbed to the roof of the building, and then, using climbing equipment, left the protected area.
Recent years in Greece
In the summer of 1995, Solonik appeared in Greece. In this country, he spent the last two years of his short life. Now he called himself Vladimir Kesov and often appeared in the company of the Moscow model and fashion model Svetlana Kotova. He invited his fellow countrymen to Athens, but this meeting did not take place. The body of a strangled Solonik was found in a suburban dump. Three months later, Kotova's body was found near the Saronis resort. The investigation established that the massacre was perpetrated by members of the Orekhovskaya group. Once Solonik himself promised to deal with them, thereby signing his own death warrant. At various times, the suspects were arrested and sentenced to prison terms.
It so happened that the grave of the famous killer is not in Russia or abroad. The remains of Solonik were dissolved by the cemetery employees in a pit with hydrochloric acid. Just before his death, he asked his lawyer to publish his taped interviews. This is how a series of books about the deeds of Alexander appeared. His young and daring image served as the prototype for the heroes of several feature films and documentaries.
