The national anthem of the Russian Federation is one of the main official symbols of the country, along with the Russian coat of arms and flag. The basis of the text and music for the new anthem, written in 2000, were borrowed from the Soviet anthem, the author of the melody of which is Alexander Alexandrov.
Anthem and its importance
From ancient Greek, the word "hymn" is translated as "solemn song", an ode to someone or something important and great. The anthem is performed on special or extremely important occasions - it sounds at the inauguration of the President of Russia, the leadership of state authorities, as well as at the beginning and end of meetings of the State Duma and the Federation Council. In addition, the anthem is played during military events, national holidays, parades, sports and meetings / seeing off of heads of state.
Today, the hymn is a song that is dedicated to the Motherland and glorifies its power and greatness with its poems.
Every country has a national anthem. Every citizen must respect the symbols of his state and know the words of the national anthem by heart. The modern National Anthem of Russia was approved by Vladimir Putin by his decree on December 30, 2000. For the first time, residents of the Russian Federation heard the new anthem on New Year's Eve 2001.
Author of the new Russian anthem
The Soviet poet and writer Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov, who is also the author of the State Anthem of the USSR, managed to write the correct words for the modern anthem of Russia. In the verses of the new hymn, he brilliantly conveyed the greatness and power of Russia, the beauty of its vast expanses and the richest history of a great and invincible country. Mikhalkov managed to unite with his creation people of all nationalities who love Russia, are proud of it and wish it prosperity for many centuries.
Unlike the coat of arms and the flag, which are also official state symbols, the anthem can not only be seen, but also heard.
The author of the melody of the new State Russian Anthem was the great choral conductor and composer Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov. For the first time, this melody sounded in the Great Patriotic War, supporting the soldiers of the Red Army and the Navy, fighting against the fascist misfortune.
Beautiful, solemn and majestic music makes every Russian feel a sense of pride in their country, and the easily remembered words of the anthem vividly describe the endless fields of Russia, its rivers, lakes, villages and cities. The Russian anthem is known almost all over the world, because it is a masterpiece that was created by two patriots of their Motherland who love it with all their hearts.
