Taisiya Vitalievna Osipova is an activist of the unregistered party "Other Russia". As a member of the National Bolshevik Party, banned in 2007 by a court decision as an extremist organization, she committed a number of illegal actions.
Taisia Osipova was born on August 26, 1984 in Smolensk, where she spent her childhood. After completing her studies, she married a member of the executive committee of the Other Russia party, Sergei Fomchenkov, and moved to Moscow. Together they raise their six-year-old daughter Katrina.
The girl's activity began to manifest itself in 2003, when she got a job as a correspondent for the General Line newspaper. At one public event, Osipova hit the head of the Smolensk region administration, Viktor Maslov, with a bouquet of carnations, saying: "You live off ordinary people from Smolensk, here's greetings from the NBP!" As a result, a criminal case was opened and Taisia was sentenced - 1 year suspended imprisonment.
In the fall of 2010, Osipova was arrested, and on December 29, 2011, a court hearing was held, and during the hearings, the defendant's guilt was proved. The presiding judge of the Zadneprovsky court of Smolensk E. N. Dvoryanchikov was sentenced under Part 3 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The punishment turned out to be harsh - 10 years in prison. On February 15, 2012, in response to a cassation appeal filed by lawyers, the court decision was canceled by the Smolensk Regional Court, and the case was sent for review. By a court decision of August 28, 2012, Taisia was sentenced to 8 years in prison. At the same time, the prosecutor requested only 4, below the lower limit of the minimum sanction of the imputed article.
Dmitry Medvedev, having met with students of Moscow State University in January 2012, expressed his opinion about what is happening. In the opinion of the president at that time, the verdict passed by the court of Osipova was too harsh. The girl's lawyers are sure that Taisiya Osipova's case was fabricated, the evidence was planted. All these activities were carried out by law enforcement agencies to put pressure on Taisiya's husband.
Osipova's defenders believe that there are many unclear points in the case. For example, all the witnesses in the case are classified, the testimony of these people is confused, and it is not always possible to assess them unambiguously. In addition, there are many contradictions and inaccuracies in the case.
The girl did not admit her guilt, she is sure that drugs were planted on her. And detailed photography and video filming during the search was necessary only for the subsequent informing of the encrypted witnesses.
The daughter of the convicted woman is in the care of her husband's sister Olga. Taisia has a number of diseases: diabetes mellitus, pyelonephritis, high blood pressure, etc. The Kremlin is ready to consider the petition for clemency. Rallies in defense of Osipova are constantly held, supporters consider her innocent and demand an acquittal.
