Story line
The American mystical series "Supernatural" tells the story of the life of two brothers, Sam and Dean, who travel throughout America and come into battle with a wide variety of evil spirits.
Their story began in the first season, when Mary, the brothers' mother, was found dead and crucified on the ceiling of her own bedroom. Since then, the father of Sam and Dean embarked on the warpath with the mystical world. However, under mysterious circumstances, he disappeared. And twenty-two years after the death of their mother, the brothers begin to conduct independent investigations, plunging into the other world, and try to find a solution to Mary's death and the mystery of the disappearance of their father.
Each episode is a separate story, a riddle, solving which the brothers, one way or another, gradually approach the mystery of the disappearance of their father and the death of their mother - this took the creators of the series two seasons. In subsequent episodes, Sam and Dean help people who have suffered at the hands of evil spirits, and also engage in battle with Lucifer.
There were several contenders for the main roles, even Keanu Reeves was among the chosen ones. However, the demon-fighting brothers were played by Jared Padalecki (Sam, older brother) and Jensen Ackles (Dean, younger brother).

Supernatural has proven to be one of the most controversial US dramas in terms of seasons. The release of the new season has been threatened several times, mainly due to the fact that analysts have identified low product ratings. In addition, the audience for the series was defined as "girls under eighteen years of age." But, despite all the predictions and analytical conclusions, the series continues to live.
In just nine seasons, 188 episodes were shown. How many are planned to be filmed in the tenth anniversary season, and what the narration will be about, is still kept secret.
In total, during its history, the series has been nominated 5 times for the Saturn Award, twice for the Golden Reel Award and once for the Emmy Award.
At the peak of the series' popularity in 2007, a number of comics and books were released, telling about other adventures of the main characters, some of them were subsequently filmed.
In 2008, the third season was shortened due to the fact that many writers took part in a strike that lasted a hundred days. Their requirements were very simple - an increase in fees and deductions, which were at a fairly low level.
At the moment, forty-eight directors have worked on the series, including Jensen Ackles himself.
