A native of the capital of our Motherland and a native of the family of a career soldier - Alexander Nikolaevich Baluev - made his conscious choice in favor of a creative career, solely thanks to his refined and intelligent mother. It was she who was able to instill in her son a love of acting, which he subsequently very successfully brought to life.
The popular theater and film actor - Alexander Baluev - is well known today throughout the post-Soviet space, thanks to his rich track record, which includes about forty theatrical projects and more than a hundred film works.
Biography and career of Alexander Nikolaevich Baluev
On December 6, 1958, the future idol of millions of domestic fans was born in the capital of our Motherland. During his school years, Alexander was actively involved in sports. However, the love for theatrical life, which his mother stubbornly cultivated for him, despite his father's desire to see in his son the continuer of the family military tradition, prevailed over all other arguments.
Therefore, after receiving a certificate of secondary education, Baluev submitted documents to the Shchukin school, where, unexpectedly for himself, failed the exams. And then for a year he worked as an assistant lighting engineer at Mosfilm and received a student card for the Moscow Art Theater, where he received his basic acting education in the course of P. V. Massalsky and I. M. Tarkhanov.
Due to the upcoming military service, Baluev was forced after graduation to get a job in the troupe of the Theater of the Soviet Army. Here, for six years, he took the stage as a participant in the performances: "Lady with Camellias", "Robin Hood's Arrow" and "Clock without Hands". And in 1986 he moved to the Yermolova Theater, where he served until the end of the "eighties", after which he left the theater altogether, focusing on cinema.
Brief episodes in the films of 1981-1983, although they did not bring fame to Alexander Baluev, formed his love for the set. And already in 1984 the film "Egorka", where the actor played the role of the boat commander, became for him in fact a film debut. The real fame came to the actor after the release of Stanislav Govorukhin's film Bless the Woman (2003), where his character - the brutal captain Larevich - was appreciated by the cinematic community.
The current filmography of Alexander Nikolaevich has already one hundred and ten films, among which I would like to highlight the following: "The Kerosene Man's Wife" (1988), "Muslim" (1995), "Peacemaker" (1997), "Antikiller" (2002), "Evening Bells" (2003), "Death of an Empire" (2005), "1612: Chronicles of the Time of Troubles" (2007), "Kandahar" (2010), "Zhukov" (2012), "Two winters and three summers" (2014), "Hero" (2016), Sophia (2016), The Ark (2017), Three Sisters (2017), The Demon of the Revolution (2017).
Personal life of the actor
Behind the shoulders of the family life of Alexander Nikolaevich Baluev there is one divorced marriage with the Polish journalist Maria Urbanovskaya. In this family union, which actually lasted for ten years, a daughter, Maria-Anna, was born. The marriage was dissolved in 2013, which was a big surprise for the public, because the image of a strong family man was firmly assigned to the popular artist.
Currently, there are rumors that an affair with makeup artist Olga Matveychuk (mother of musician Gleb Matveychuk) could develop into something more. However, the couple is wary of statements on this score, which creates even more speculation around this relationship.
