The girl was born in Nepal in the winter of 1982. Her father was Australian by birth. Mom was born in India, but at an early age came to Tibet, where her ancestors were from.

Dichen's parents met in Kathmandu and got married there. After a while, their daughter was born. The family lived with numerous relatives in a small house in a very cramped environment. When the girl was seven years old, her parents decided to leave for Australia, her father's homeland.

Dichen went to school in Adelaide. She first studied at West Lakes Shore Primary School, then at Gilles Street Primary. In high school, she began attending Norwood Morialta High School.

During her school years, the girl became interested in creativity. She really enjoyed drawing. For some time she even dreamed of becoming a professional artist. But later the desire changed. Having started performing on stage in school plays, Dichen decided that she liked being an actress more than an artist.

After leaving school, Dichen entered Annesley College in Adelaide, then continued her education at the university.

After graduating from university, Dichen moved to Sydney, where she began taking private acting lessons. She also completed an internship at the Lynette Sheldon Actors Studio in Sydney.

In Sydney, Luckman began looking for work in television. She played her first roles in several popular Australian shows. The young actress was noticed and soon invited to the famous TV series "Neighbors" on the Seven channel.

Neighbors is one of the most famous and longest-running television projects. It started in 1985 and has been filming ever since.

Dichen auditioned for the role of one of the main characters - Ellie Robinson, but the director decided that this image was not suitable for her. Then the actress was offered to play another role - the nurse Katya Kinski. The script was specially modified and adapted for the new character. Thanks to this, Dichen entered the main cast of the project, where she starred for several seasons.

Following her success in Neighbors, Dichen landed the lead role in Aquamarine, a co-production of American and Australian filmmakers.

After successfully working on Australian television for several years, Luckman decided to pursue her acting career in the United States, where there were much more opportunities.

In 2007 she moved to America. A year later, the artist got one of the main roles in the fantastic FOX TV series Doll House, where she starred for two seasons. The series was canceled in 2010.

Dichen played her next central role in the TV series Being Human. She began acting in the project from the second season.

As a guest actress, Luckman has appeared in several episodes of the series: NCIS, Hawaii 5.0, Torchwood, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Beach Cop, Shameless, 100, Agents of S. I.. Т..

In Supergirl, Dichen starred in two episodes as Roulette / Veronica Sinclair.

Personal life

Dichen got married in 2015. The famous actor and screenwriter Maximilian Osinsky became her chosen one. In the spring of the same year, she gave birth to a daughter, whom her parents named Matilda.
