In society, you can often encounter immoral behavior of people. Various kinds of swear words are heard literally everywhere. Drinking alcohol in public places, as well as being drunk, is the norm for some individuals. People deliberately harm each other, commit crimes, sometimes without thinking at all about the immorality of their actions.

What is immoral behavior?

Immoral behavior means that it does not fit into the framework of morality. It does not correspond to any generally accepted norms of behavior. Contradicts any etiquette and all moral foundations of human society.

Morality

Every nation has its own ideas about morality. In addition, these perceptions differ not only among large groups (country, nation), but also among specific communities of people (family, microsociety, work collective). All this burns about the relativity of the concepts of "morality" and "morality", as well as about fluctuations in the gradation of immorality, which to a greater extent is an immutable category, an object of philosophical research.

In the modern world, the concept of immorality can be assessed in conjunction with the concepts of legality and wrongfulness. So, if in an immoral act there is no composition of a criminal offense, who allowed himself to be outside the framework of moral foundations (accepted norms of law) is threatened with a fine or forced labor - such an offense is usually called administrative.

Often the cause of immoral behavior is impunity. Impunity is a consequence of the immaturity of the rule of law or the absence of public censure.

Moral

Morality is a less capacious concept than morality, therefore immorality can also be defined through the categories of immoral, i.e. attached to specific behavioral patterns. So, speaking about immorality, they imply behavior dissolute, base, depraved. People who lead an immoral lifestyle are characterized by immodesty and licentiousness. Immorality manifests itself in conversations on obscene and frivolous topics, mockery, vulgarity, often it is expressed in a person's behavior towards other members of society, for example, in the form of harassment or bullying.

Immoral personalities have such intrinsic qualities as greed, anger, gluttony, envy, anarchism and demonstrative violation of norms are inherent in their views.

Morality is a sociocultural concept, it is given by education and is reinforced by imitation of the environment. What was immoral a couple of centuries ago (for example, meeting unmarried men and women alone) is today considered the norm of behavior, which means that the general views of people form the content of the concept, and not vice versa.

Violation - conscious or unconscious - of the moral foundations adopted by society at this historical stage is immorality in its application to behavior. It is worth paying attention to the fact that the category of permissibility also affects the understanding of the essence of the moral. This is especially clearly illustrated by modern Islamic norms: it is immoral for a Muslim woman to appear in society without the accompaniment of her man, it is immoral to expose the body of what is more permissible, etc. Outside an Islamic country, this behavior is not immoral, which indicates the connection of morality with cultural and religious traditions.
