If adults want not only to spend two hours of their time with the child festively, but also to make it sink into his soul, so that thoughts about good and evil are born, in order to involve the child in a strange theatrical reality, which is a theatrical convention, then for the first joint visits, it is better to choose performances in theaters that have long established themselves as masters of children's hearts. Theaters are not entreprise, but under the leadership of real masters, who do not tolerate hack-work in the territories entrusted to them, in principle. Only in such theaters will a child be able to feel the magical atmosphere of real art, only such a theater will not discourage him from the desire for knowledge and will be able to cultivate an aesthetic necessity in him - the need for the theater as a difficult but exciting interlocutor.

Step 1

The Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT), under the direction of one of the leading figures of the Moscow theater scene, Alexander Borodin, is a theater with a long tradition of children's performances. Here they do not play giveaways with children, do not lisp, do not speak with bad voices. They talk to them here. They speak through told stories about life and death, about good and evil, about dreams, hope and such a strange adult world.

Step 2

For children aged 6+, the theater offers the following performances based on classical Russian and foreign children's literature: "The Fearless Master" by A. Afanasyev, "The Wizard of the Emerald City" by A. Volkov, "The Magic Ring" by B. Shergin, "Deniskin Stories" by V. Dragunsky, "Cinderella" by E. Schwartz, "Like a cat walked wherever he pleases" by R. Kipling, "Lelya and Minka" by M. Zrshchenko, "Medvedko" by A. Afanasyev, "Dunno the traveler" by N. Nosov, "Almost really, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”by M. Twain,“The Prince and the Pauper”by M. Twain,“Fairy Tales Just in Case”by E. Klyuev,“Purely English Ghost”by E. Narshi after O. Wilde.

Step 3

The Moscow Theater for the Young Spectator (MTYUZ) under the leadership of the legendary directors Henrietta Yanovskaya and Kama Ginkas, in the old traditions of Russian theater, is concerned with educating its own audience. Therefore, this theater tries to attract spectators from a very young age and, opening the backstage, gradually immerses them in the atmosphere of conventional theatrical art.

Step 4

It was for this that Kama Ginkas' performance "The Golden Cockerel" was created, which received a number of theatrical awards. The director, in a playful way, acquaints kids, and sometimes ignorant adults, with how art is born, how simple and at the same time it is difficult to come up with performances, adaptations to them, and play, delighting a small, but extremely corrosive and thinking spectator.

Step 5

The September 2014 poster of the MTYUZ offers the following children's performances: "The Cat's House", "The Golden Cockerel" by A. Pushkin and "Peter Pan" by J. Barry.

Step 6

But there is one performance that is impossible, impossible not to watch. There are such rare cases in theaters. This is a performance that has been staged at the MTYuZ for over forty years, and it has become the performance that, like a thread, connects at least four generations of long-grown children, their children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren - it is called “Two Maples” by E. Schwartz …

Step 7

And at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, one cannot miss and show the child an amazing, vivid, musical story created by director Yevgeny Pisarev based on the fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse" by Pyotr Ershov. This performance was awarded the Highest Theater Award of Moscow "Crystal Turandot" in 2008 and the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" in the nomination "Best Performance in the Operetta / Musical Genre" in 2009.

Step 8

And the last on this list, but it is he who, perhaps, deserves to become the first performance that you should definitely see with your child, if you want your child to learn to take care of loved ones, about family, about parents - this is the premiere musical performance of the Theater named after … Mayakovsky, based on the play by the Chilean author Luis Supelveda "Mama-cat".
