The native Muscovite Igor Zhizhikin was born in October 1965. His father, V. S. Zhizhikin, was the head of the postal department of the USSR Ministry of Communications, and his mother, G. M. Zhizhikin, worked as an employee of the research institute. 12 years later, another child appeared in the family - Igor's younger sister Ekaterina.
As a child, Igor was fond of sports and was not much different from his peers. After school, he entered the Moscow College of Communications. V. N. Podbelsky. After graduation, the young man planned to continue his studies at the Moscow Institute of Communications, but 1983 changed plans - in the fall he was drafted into the army. There he met with the circus workers, who served with him. Igor was so fascinated by his hobby for acrobatics and aerial gymnastics that after the army he decided to continue his studies at the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture.
In 1985 he began working in a circus and at the same time combining distance learning at the institute.
Circus career
At the beginning of the circus path, Igor worked as a handyman, then he chose the role for himself - an air gymnast. In 1989, together with the circus troupe, he went on tour to America. Life on the other side of the ocean seemed to young people so bright and eventful, in comparison with Moscow during perestroika, that many, including Igor, decided to stay in America.
At first, Igor lived in Las Vegas, worked as a janitor. Money was sorely lacking, I had to live in cheap hostels and sometimes even spend the night on the street. But there were no thoughts to return to Russia.
After going to the auditions, the producer of the musical "Enter the Night" noticed the young circus performer. A small role meant only beautiful walking on the stage and performing small acrobatic acts. But a start was made. As a result, six months later, Igor was offered the main role in the production of Samson and Delilah. Thanks to his typical appearance, excellent physical characteristics and brilliant acting, Igor Zhilin in the role of Samson became a real star of Las Vegas.
There was no end to new proposals. In 1995, the world-famous circus Du Soleli invited Igor to join his troupe, where he worked as an aerialist for three years.

From 2002 to 2007, Igor has successfully starred in dozens of films. In 2008, the actor received an offer to star in the cult sequel to the film about the adventures of Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, where Igor Zhilin played Colonel Dovchenko, is a resounding success.
