Childhood and youth
Boys still love to play war. Already at an early age, you can determine the characteristics of the character of such players. Pavel Yuryevich Ilyin from childhood had the ability to reincarnate. Friends often chose him as the commander of our team. At the same time, if necessary, he could convincingly play the role of a "spy." The future theater and film actor was born on March 8, 1963 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in Moscow. My father worked as an accountant. Mother taught the basics of engineering graphics at the university.
Pavel studied well at school. However, there were not enough stars from the sky. With a great desire he participated in amateur performances. After the eighth grade I decided to enter the local radio technical school. In his free time, he attended classes at the theater studio at the district house of culture. At one of the rehearsals, he was noticed by an assistant director from the Mosfilm film studio and invited to play the main role in the film Tender Age. The picture was a success with audiences and critics. After the end of filming, Pavel was drafted into the ranks of the armed forces.
Creative activity
In the spring of 1985, returning to civilian life after demobilization, Ilyin decided to enter the famous Moscow Art Theater School. But he did not manage to pass the creative competition from the first visit. He managed to become a student of this educational institution in 1987. Already in the first year, Ilyin began to perform episodic and secondary roles on the professional stage. In 1991, having received a specialized education, Pavel joined the troupe of the Chekhov Art Theater. He played leading roles in the productions of The Seagull, Two Angels, Four Men, The Passion for Bumbarash.
Ilyin's work was appreciated by both spectators and specialists. In 1995, he received an offer from the cult director Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov to move to the theater, which was unofficially called "Snuffbox". After much hesitation, the actor agreed and, as they say, made the right decision. Pavel, with his characteristic diligence and accuracy, soon became one of the leading actors of the troupe. Ilyin created memorable images in the performances "Psycho", "Notes of the Adventurer Felix Krul", "Camera Obscura".
Recognition and privacy
Simultaneously with work in the theater, the actor acts in films. In 2019, he starred in the film The Comedian. For his contribution to the development of theatrical art, Pavel Ilyin was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation" in 2008.
Little is known about the actor's personal life. Some time ago he tried to build a family. The relationship did not work out - the husband and wife decided to leave. Pavel Yurievich continues to perform in the theater and act in films.
