In all these and other similar cases, you just need to organize a decent farewell to those leaving.

Step 1
Distribute responsibilities among all participants in the event. If you decide to hold the celebration on your own, come up with a holiday scenario so that the farewell does not turn into a banal drinking party. Make a list of guests and invitees. Buy gifts and flowers. Purchase all the food you need and plenty of booze. Do not forget that the sale of strong alcoholic beverages on the territory of the Russian Federation is limited by time frames.
Step 2
Book your taxi in advance. This is especially important if the person leaving has a lot of luggage and you need cargo transportation. In this case, do not forget to also order the services of loaders. If a large delegation is accompanying the person, order a bus.
Step 3
Help the departing person pack their suitcases. If the suitcase does not close, sit on top of it so that the things inside are packed. Before that, carefully inspect the apartment and make sure that the guest did not forget to pick up any of their belongings (nor did they take anything of yours). If the departing person accidentally grabs one of your belongings, tactfully point him to it. Accept your apology and reassure the guest. If you do not mind, offer him this thing as a gift. If the guest cannot find something of his own, calm him down. Assure the departing person that you will carefully examine the apartment again and be sure to send him the loss by mail.
Step 4
Sit down "on the path". If a person does not leave forever, say with him the phrase: “It’s good there, but it’s better back.” Compliance with this ancient custom will not only help you appease the mythological evil spirits, but also give you and the traveler the opportunity to calm down a little and tune in to the trip. Sit quietly for five minutes. Breathe deeply and evenly. Remind the departing person to double-check that they have all the necessary items, first of all tickets and money.
Step 5
Hug the departing person goodbye. Cry. Tell him how you will miss him. If you are seeing off guests, be sure to ask them to come again. Do not forget to wish "good luck" and wave your hand or a clean handkerchief after, and blow a kiss after.
