Spectators who watched K. Shakhnazarov's picture "American Daughter", released in 1995, probably remembered the leading role - Allison Whitbeck. After a successful debut, the actress starred in another film - "Jack", but this was the end of her film career.

Whitbeck was educated at Pleasanton Middle School. During her school years, she became the best tap dancer in her hometown of Pleasanton and participated in many prestigious contests and competitions.
The girl did not dream of a career in cinema, she was going to continue to practice her favorite dances. But a lucky chance brought her to the set. Soon she became a real star of Russian cinema, thanks to her participation in the film "American Daughter".

Director K. Shakhnazarov was looking for an American girl for the main role in his new project. Once, seeing Allison at one of the concerts, he was literally fascinated by the young talent and decided that she must certainly play in his picture. Having invited the girl to audition, Shakhnazarov was sure that this was exactly the image that he had been looking for for so long. Allison did an excellent job with the task, in 1995 she made her debut in a Russian film.
Interest in the young actress also arose in America. After a successful debut, the girl was invited to shoot the fantastic comedy "Jack", where she played Lucy. The film was directed by the famous Francis Ford Coppola, and the main role was played by the popular Hollywood actor Robin Williams. The film was released in 1996, but was very coldly received by viewers and film critics.
Some said that it was the failure of the film that influenced the further fate of Allison and her decision to stop working in the cinema. In 1997, she announced that she no longer intends to appear on the screen, but will soon return to her studies and dancing.
The girl connected her further life with teaching. She graduated from high school, was educated in college and started working as a dance teacher in Los Angeles.
For several years she led children's groups in a choreographic studio, but then decided to change her profession and began to work as a manager.
Later, together with her husband, she founded her own public relations company. Allison is currently running her own business.
Whitbeck got married and now bears her husband's surname - Ritter. The family lives in Los Angeles and has two sons.
