Ekaterina Fedorovna was born on December 26, 1926. The family lived in the village of Eltsovka (Altai Territory). The Savinovs were peasants, Katya was taught from childhood to physical labor. However, the girl was thinking about becoming an actress.
After graduating from school, she went to the capital, where she tried to enter VGIK, but the attempt was unsuccessful. However, Katya was admitted to the Land Management University. Six months later, she quit her studies and went to the acting courses of Vanin Vasiliev. After some time, Vanin expelled Savinova, believing that she was not suitable for cinema.
Katya did not return home, she again tried to enter VGIK and still achieved her goal. She studied on a course with Vyacheslav Tikhonov, Nonna Mordyukova. Savinova had a unique voice. After graduating from VGIK, she studied at the Institute. Gnesins, where she studied vocals.
Creative biography
Savinova made her debut in the film "Pages of Life", but her first important role is considered to be in the film "Kuban Cossacks". In that period, Ekaterina was still a student at VGIK, then it was simply impossible to break into the cinema.
But the picture became fatal for Savinova. The director of the film was Ivan Pyriev, he liked the girl. In response to the claims, Katya slapped him in the face. During that period, Pyryev was in charge of Mosfilm, and the actress was included in the black list. Savinova stopped giving any roles, even if the screen tests were successful.
After graduating from her studies, Catherine did not stop dreaming about filming and rejected an offer to work at the Moscow Art Theater, on the stage, at the Bolshoi Theater. From 1952 she worked at the Film Actor's Studio Theater. In the 50s, the actress had small roles in several films. Ekaterina enthusiastically accepted any suggestions from filmmakers.
The main role for the actress was the role of Burlakova Frosya in the movie "Come Tomorrow" (1963), which was filmed by the husband of the actress Tashkov Evgeny. On the set, Katya began to have health difficulties. Later, doctors diagnosed her with brucellosis, which she contracted through drinking milk. For a long time Savinova worked with a subfebrile temperature, then she began to behave strangely. When she went to the doctors, it turned out that brucellosis caused a complication in the brain.
Catherine developed symptoms similar to those of schizophrenia. Subsequently, for 4 months. in the year Savinova was in a psychiatric hospital, she was given a disability. So 9 years passed. Once Savinova went to her sister in Novosibirsk, where she threw herself under a train. It happened on April 25, 1970.

The husband of Ekaterina Fedorovna was Tashkov Evgeny, a classmate at VGIK. They got married after 8 months. after graduation. In 1957 they had a child - a son Andrei, he became an actor.
