Berenice Bejo was born in 1976 in Buenos Aires. When she was three years old, the whole family moved to France, and the native actresses still live there.

Like many aspiring actresses, she began her path to serious roles in 1992 with the series Julie Lescaut, Alice Never, and Lost Bread. One of her most significant roles was the role of Lawrence in the film "Men's Stories" (1996).

Then in 2000 came a big role: in the film "The Most Promising Actress" Berenice created the image of Laetitia, earning a nomination for the "Cesar" award. It was a great start and an inspiring event that helped the young actress to believe in her talent.

The very next year brought Berenice an interesting new job: a role in the film "The Story of a Knight". The film was a huge success, the audience was delighted with him, and in 2002 MTV channel awarded him the Breakthrough of the Year, Best Music Stage and Best Kiss awards. Bejo for this film did not receive any award, but a year later for her role in the film "Dream of all women" was nominated as the most promising actress for "Cesar".

Breakthrough in acting career

During the first decade of the twentieth century, Bejo played in more than twenty films and TV shows, but all of these were ordinary films, not awarded with any awards and not included in the tops of the best pictures. But 2011 brought real success: Berenice starred in the silent film "The Artist", which was shot by her husband, director Michelle Hazanavicius. The famous Jean Dujardin was on the same stage with the actress, and it was already happiness to watch the maestro work.

The film itself, the director and actors received many awards, were nominated for prestigious awards in France and abroad, and Bejo received the Golden Bough in Cannes as a supporting actress for her role as a young actress. The film "Artist" is still included in the Top 250 best films in the world.

The next year again brings the artist success: she played in the melodrama "Love at Your Fingertips." Such a light, sincere and warm film could not fail to touch the hearts of the audience.
