Sergei Voitenko is an artist, ascetic, public figure, musician, composer, celebrity not only of the Russian level and just a good person, familiar to spectators and listeners by virtuoso playing the button accordion.
Sergei Ivanovich Voitenko has been going to his popularity for several decades. It is no secret that such musical instruments as button accordion, accordion, accordion are not very popular in Russia, although it is to them that the Russian soul sings and cries.
Path to music
The boy's biography began in 1973, on May 12, in the remote rural outback of the Samara region. In the same place, in Bogdanovka, he almost simultaneously went to a regular school and a music school. At first, he did not feel a serious zeal for music and love for the instrument, he even chose the button accordion only because it is smaller than the piano, tried to quit this occupation.
Fortunately, a clever teacher was found who considered that the guy was ready to "dig the earth with his nose" for the sake of winning the performance, and began to take him to various competitions. So Seryozha, from the age of 11, learned to win, first of all, himself and his laziness.
Sergey's musical education lasted 20 years: music school, music school, university, postgraduate study. Then he returned to his native Samara and started teaching. And constant work on improving their skills, rehearsals from morning to evening.
Career
By that time, he was already the owner of a great many prizes, awards and awards for his performing activities. A virtuoso performance, creating beautiful musical images, put his beloved button accordion to a new level of perception by listeners.
In the late 90s, Voitenko created the “Non Stop” quartet together with friends-winners of various competitions. And although it was a kind of copy of the Petersburg Terem Quartet, much of its own was introduced - theatricalization of the performance, vocals.
Five years later - a new creative round in career growth. It marked the meeting of two talented performers and the creation of "Bayan MIX". We are talking about Dmitry Khramkov. The unique duet was enthusiastically received by the audience. A powerful energetic message, an unusual performance of classics and modern works, the dynamics of stage movement were captivating.
The artists toured not only our countries, but also Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Canada, Sweden, China and even Costa Rica.
Sergei Ivanovich is not only an outstanding musician, but also a talented producer. He brought to life many creative projects aimed at popularizing his favorite instrument and folk music:
- International festival "Vivat Bayan", organized for the first time in 2002;
- in 2018 there was a new one - "Soul of the button accordion";
- annual internships for talented children and teachers in prestigious music educational institutions in Europe;
- All-Russian competition of bayan players and accordionists;
- he has created interesting groups: girls-accordionists work in the “Brides” group; "Matreha" pleases the audience with a new style - jazz-folk; three boys and a girl perform in the Kinder Mix group; there is also a funny "Mama Rasha";
- opened a creative school in Samara with training according to individual programs, so that each child was found his own key;
- began the production of button accordions under his own brand, while in Italy, then plans to transfer production to Russia.
Personal life
Sergei Voitenko is married. We met Valeria at a show hosted by a journalist on local television. The wife admits that it was not easy for her to make a choice between family and a prestigious job, to which she stubbornly walked for several years. The family won, now she is engaged in her husband's PR projects.
Sergey has two sons: the elder Svyatoslav is now a promising young radio host, the younger Savva was born in June 2018.
And although it is too early to sum up the results of Sergei Voitenko's creative activity, I would like to note that thanks to his tireless enthusiasm for popularizing accordion music, this instrument is again becoming interesting to the general public.
