China is a country with a rich culture and history. There are many secrets in it. An amazing mountain has appeared in a small village in one of the southeastern provinces. She "lays eggs", large dark bluish stones of a round shape.
Gulu Village is located in Guizhou Province. According to local residents, stones bring good luck, and that is why almost all finds have become talismans. At least one egg is kept in each of the village families.
Mysterious cliff
Chan Da Ya rocks are shaped like dinosaur eggs. And the name translates accordingly: a rock that lays eggs. At first, the stones seem to begin to appear on the surface of the cliff, parts of Mount Gandeng, then ripen over the course of thirty years. Finally, they plunge downward as they separate from Chang Da Ya.
The site on which the process takes place does not exceed twenty meters in length and six meters in height. Scientists have not yet been able to explain the phenomenon. According to one hypothesis, the cliff formed five hundred million years ago consisted of not very strong rocks. Some of them collapsed, pushing out the stone balls.
Wang Shangguan from the Bureau of Geology found out that the bottom of a dry sea had once come to the surface. One of the mountains was formed by mudstone, a clayey solid rock. Denser blotches, shaped like chicken eggs, have been recorded in it for many hundreds of years.
The phenomenon and its explanation
However, they have now started to drop out. Xu Ronghua, a professor at the country's Institute of Geology and Geophysics, said that they are composed of silicon dioxide. According to the scientist, similar phenomena have already been observed in other regions of China.
A sensational announcement was made by the head of the travel agency, who said that the mountain located nearby from the first one would soon also become “fruitful”.
According to the press, the mysterious Chinese formations will help to understand similar phenomena in other regions of the planet.
It is believed that all of them were born in sea water in ancient times. Having acquired a crystalline structure, the formations "fell asleep" for millennia in lime deposits. As the erosion and weathering of the "balls played by the gods" appeared on the surface of the seabed, they were exposed.
More and more questions
According to scientists, every stone "ball" has an organic core. It consists of shells, plant remains, fish teeth and skeletons. All the largest formations can reach sixteen tons.
However, there are real giants. Such one rolled out during the explosion of one of the quarries in Germany in 1969. With a five-meter diameter, it weighed over a hundred tons.
As long as research on the phenomenon continues, the locals continue to consider the round stones that have fallen out to be sacred. At least once a year, everyone goes to Mount Gandeng to touch the divine eggs, which are still firmly attached to Chang Da Ya. This bodes well and luck in any endeavor.
