Nikolay Pavlov is a Russian and Ukrainian athlete, volleyball player, diagonal striker. He is an international master of sports. As part of the Russian national team, Pavlov won the gold medal of the World League.
Childhood, adolescence
Nikolay Pavlov was born on May 22, 1982 in Poltava (Ukraine). He grew up in a simple family. Parents were not associated with volleyball, but little Kolya showed an addiction to this sport from childhood.
Pavlov did a good job at school, but closer to the senior grades, his performance fell, as he had to devote a lot of time to training. He began to play volleyball in Poltava with Vladislav Andronikovich Agasyants and Tatiana Buzhinskaya. Talented coaches immediately saw his abilities and told his parents that the boy could have a great future in this sport.
Career
In 1999, Pavlov played in the team of the Kharkov Law Academy, played for the youth team of Ukraine. The national team won prizes at the European Championships in Poland and the World Championships in Saudi Arabia.
Nikolay played in the team until 2005. During this time, he twice received the Cup of Ukraine and became a two-time vice-champion of the country. During this period, he managed to combine successful play with learning. In Kharkov, he graduated from the Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine.
In 2005, Pavlov decided to pursue a career in Russia. He accepted an invitation from the management of the club "Luch" and successfully played several seasons, but then this team was disbanded. Together with several others and players and a coach, Nikolai moved to Novosibirsk Lokomotiv. In 2006, his new team played against the "Oilman of Bashkortostan". The basketball player scored 39 points of personal performance, which experts called a record. Nikolai became popular. The leaders of the best clubs invited him to cooperate.
In 2007, Pavlov received Russian citizenship. He continued to play for Lokomotiv. In the Russian championship, his team took 4th place 2 times. In 2007-2011, he was one of the top three players in all seasons. In 2011, Nikolai was recognized as the best pitcher. In December 2010, he won the Russian Cup and received the deserved title of the most valuable player in the Final Four in Novosibirsk.
In 2011, Nikolai Pavlov moved to the Moscow team "Dynamo". He played successfully for 2 seasons, winning an important competition against rivals from Poland. As part of "Dynamo", he became the silver medalist of the European Championship. In 2013, Pavlov moved to the Nizhny Novgorod "Gubernia" and received an invitation to become a player of the Russian national team.
In 2013, Pavlov, as part of the Russian national team, won the World League. He was also awarded the title of the best player of the tournament. In the same year, as part of the national team, he won a gold medal at the European Championship.
As part of the Russian national team, Pavlov won several significant competitions and earned titles:

Since 2014, Pavlov has not played regularly for "Gubernia". Increasingly, he had to stay on the bench. In 2015, he was not invited to the Russian national team. The athlete was going through this period hard. At some point, it even seemed to him that he was no longer needed by Russian volleyball. But he could not blame the coaches for this, since the reason was in the injuries received earlier. Nikolai could no longer play at full strength.
In 2015, the athlete was invited to the Italian team "Latina". He played 2 seasons in it and still returned to Russia to play for Nizhny Novgorod Lokomotiv. In this team, he continues to play and quite successfully. Nikolay does not lose hope that he will be able to take part in several more prestigious competitions for the Russian national team. He consistently shows good results and has almost completely recovered from injuries sustained during games.
In the future, Pavlov would like to pursue a coaching career. His favorite age group is juniors. He admits that it was his first coaches who gave him a lot, made him believe in himself. Nikolay would also like to help future athletes take their first steps in their professional careers.
Personal life
Nikolai Pavlov is not only a talented athlete, but also a very attractive young man. He always had many fans, but earlier the basketball player hid his personal life from outsiders. After several unsuccessful novels, Pavlov still found his soul mate. Nikolai has been happily married for a long time. He and his wife have two children. My daughter is engaged in tennis, and the son has not yet decided on his hobbies. Perhaps he will continue his father's work. Nikolai admits that he does not want to influence children when choosing their hobbies or profession. But if his son has all the necessary data for basketball, he will not dissuade the boy from classes.
Nikolai is a wonderful family man and a loving father. He actively maintains pages on social networks and generously shares photos from his home archive with fans. With their spouse and children, they love to travel and visit different interesting places, constantly discover something new for themselves.
