Starting conditions

Marina Anatolyevna Shishkina was born on April 14, 1960 in a family of Soviet employees. Parents lived in the small town of Chudovo in the Novgorod region. His father worked as a director of a garment factory, and his mother taught Russian language and literature at school.

You can't hide from people in a small village. No matter how a person hides his talents or shortcomings, all the same they “floated out”. Marina grew up as a sociable and developed girl. I learned to read early. She loved to collect her girlfriends on the bench and leaf through the books that they had in their house. At school, the future journalist studied only excellently. If she received a four, she was sincerely upset. Her favorite subjects were literature and geography. Although in mathematics, she "understood" excellently.

Shishkina took an active part in public life. She has always led the pioneer all-around class team. And in high school volleyball and athletics. Like all classmates, she joined the Komsomol and was proud of it. Marina served as the editor of the school wall newspaper in high school. In the same period, small notes about the events and activities that took place at the school began to appear on the pages of the city newspaper. Having received a certificate of maturity and a gold medal, Shishkina already knew her route through life. Using the opportunities provided by the law, Marina entered the journalism department of the Leningrad University. In her student years, she remained the same active and easy-going. She was engaged in tourism. She attended famous theaters and other cultural institutions. During her student days, the city on the Neva became home for Marina.

Journalistic activities

In 1982, Shishkina received a diploma of higher education and went to work on assignment. The place of application of forces and talents turned out to be a city in the Leningrad region called Tosno. The local newspaper was called Lenin's Banner. Marina successfully "joined" the creative team and plunged into the daily editorial bustle. Fulfilling the tasks of the editor, she visited industrial and transport enterprises. Articles, notes and essays almost always aroused the interest of readers. The head of the letter department in the editorial office was respected and even loved. But, having worked the allotted three years, Shishkina returned to Leningrad.

An experienced journalist was accepted as an assistant at the department of radio and television at her home university. Having collected the necessary amount of information, Shishkina entered graduate school. And in 1991 she defended her thesis for the title of candidate of sociological sciences on the topic "Radio broadcasting in the system of economic flow of information." Four years later she was elected Dean of the Faculty of Journalism. Shishkina turned out to be the second woman in the history of the university to take the position of dean. On her initiative, the Department of Public Relations and Advertising was opened at Leningrad State University.

In the political arena

With a heavy workload of administrative affairs, Shishkina did not leave scientific studies. From under her pen, more than a hundred articles and books were embroidered on the problems of advertising messages, public relations and broadcasting. Creativity in the scientific field was confirmed in her doctoral dissertation, which she defended in 2002. Marina Anatolyevna's teaching career was going well. However, the circumstance developed in such a way that she was offered to take part in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg.

In the fall of 2011, Marina Shishkina became a member of the Legislative Assembly on the lists of the Fair Russia party. She was immediately included in the parliamentary commission for education, culture and science. This area of activity was well known to Shishkina, and she made her contribution to the legislative process. In the spring of 2017, Marina Anatolyevna was elected chairman of the regional branch of the Fair Russia party in St. Petersburg. At the same time, she remained the chief editor of the popular science magazine "Massmedia XXI".

Awards and personal life

Marina Shishkina's long-term and fruitful work was awarded state awards. Among them are the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, and the medal In Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg. Among other incentives, there is a prize of the Government of the Russian Federation, a certificate of honor of the Ministry of Education of Russia, and other signs of gratitude from public organizations. As usual in such situations, all items are kept at home in a special cabinet behind glass.

Shishkina's personal life took shape from the second time. In the first marriage, a daughter was born. After a long break, Marina remarried. This time a son appeared in the family.
