In the Caucasus

Satanei Setgalievna Casanova was born in the small village of Verkhniy Kurkuzhin in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria in the family of a private entrepreneur and doctor. The future singer and her three sisters were brought up in true Muslim traditions.

Sati studied at the village school, and after school she looked after the sisters and helped mother Fatima with the housework. When she was 12 years old, her father decided to give the children a better education than a village school and moved his entire family to Nalchik. At the new place of residence, it was decided to send the eldest daughter to an art school, where she began to devote a lot of time to vocal lessons.

After finishing nine classes, the aspiring singer, in search of new knowledge, entered the local school of culture and arts. In addition to studying, a lot of time was devoted to creativity, participation in numerous concerts, as well as performing modern works in a restaurant. The father was proud of his daughter's talents and supported the craving for art, but was categorically against such a "part-time job."

Sati graduated from three courses of the School of Culture and at the age of sixteen set off to conquer Moscow. And although the Casanov family did not have any acquaintances in a strange city, and it was scary to let their daughter go, they supported her in her decision to change her place of residence. In the capital, the ambitious girl managed to enter the Academy of Music the first time. At the same time she worked as a singer in the musical project Voyage of Dreams. At the performances, they had to wear short outfits, which annoyed the strict father of the family. However, they paid very little. The artist quit two years later and began to actively attend all kinds of auditions.

Career and creativity

Sati's career began with participation in the Star Factory competition at the end of 2002. At the end of the TV project, the girl received an offer to become a member of the Fabrika group, which she gladly accepted. The trio immediately became the most popular and demanded female collective in Russia, everyone knew the songs of the group. During the years of "Factory", the singer decided to realize her dream and become an actress. For this purpose, she entered GITIS.

Sati had another cherished dream - to realize herself as a solo performer. Having worked in the "Factory" for eight years, she nevertheless decided to leave and take up solo activities. Igor Matvienko approved this idea and agreed to remain its producer.

Initially, the girl did not even see what her repertoire would be and in which direction she would move. In the process of thinking about a new project, she strenuously developed her vocal abilities. His solo career began with the single "Seven Eighths", for which a video clip was filmed.

Throughout her career, Sati Casanova was often condemned for revealing outfits that contradict strict Muslim upbringing. However, the singer herself claims that this is just a stage image, and in her opinion, female decency has nothing to do with the length of the skirt.

However, Sati did not become a successful restaurateur, since the business only brought losses and very soon it had to be closed.

The singer has repeatedly participated in popular shows on central television. The most famous of them:

- "Ice and Fire"; - "Live sound"; - "One to one"; - "Secret for a Million"; - “Heads and Tails. Russia".

Personal life

There was a lot of noise and rumors around the personal life of the bright Cossack woman. Her career was accompanied by a large number of rich and famous fans. But, according to the singer herself, she wanted for herself such a companion who would possess the qualities of her father: a generous, fair and loyal man. In early 2012, the singer was often seen in the company of Andrei Kobzon. The couple did not comment on this topic. The novel was short-lived. A year later, at one of her performances, Sati met Arthur Shachnev. In the eyes of the public, the artist and businessman looked happy, but the girl was in no hurry to arrange an acquaintance of her companion with her parents. The father explained this by the fact that she was not sure of the correctness of her choice, so she was in no hurry to take her lover to her native land.
