Christoph Schneider is a German musician best known for drumming the popular metal band Rammstein. During his school years, he started playing the trumpet, and later switched to drums. Having become acquainted with various styles and directions of heavy music, Schneider realized that he had found his calling.
Biography
Christoph Schneider, also widely known by his stage name "Doom", was born on May 11, 1966 in East Berlin. His father directed one of the largest musical theaters in Germany, the Berliner Opera. And my mother taught music. Christophe became the firstborn of his parents. A few years later, his younger sister Constance was born.

It is not surprising that the boy, born into a creative family, was fond of music from childhood. At first he mastered playing the trumpet, and as a teenager switched to rams. Schneider even wanted to go to music school, but failed exams in all subjects, except for playing the percussion instruments. As a result, he had to learn to play the drums on his own, which he successfully coped with.
Career and creativity
In 1984, Schneider graduated from college, after which he decided to go to serve in the German National Guard. Returning from the army, he managed to work as a handyman, a loader and even work in a telecommunications company, until he decided to take up music professionally.
In January 1994, Christoph became a member of the metal band Rammstein. Thanks to colorful shows, challenging lyrics, shocking outfits and, of course, a special style of music, little-known musicians became famous not only in Germany, but all over the world.

Later Christoph said that the music of such bands as Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Deep Purple, Nirvana and others had a great influence on his work. In addition, Schneider was inspired by the performances of Ian Pace, John Bonham, Phil Rudd, Chad Smith and other virtuoso drummers.
Family and personal life
Christoph Schneider prefers not to expose his personal life. But it is known that the musician was married three times. There is practically no information about his first wife. We can only say with certainty that Schneider did not have children in this union.

His second wife was Regina Gizatullina, a girl from the small Russian town of Pereslavl. The musician met her in Moscow, where she worked in a travel company and, fluent in a foreign language, introduced the guests of the capital to local attractions.
Accidental acquaintance grew into mutual sympathy. Soon Schneider invited the girl to move to Berlin. And two months later they got married. The musician dreamed of a family and children, but Regina built her career. In 2010, it became known that the couple broke up.

For the third time, Christoph Schneider married psychologist Ulrike Schmidt. In 2013, their first child was born - a son, Oliver. A year later, the couple legalized their relationship. The wedding ceremony was held in the circle of relatives and close friends of Christoph and Ulrika. And in 2015, their second son was born.
