Valentina Khmara was born in January 1933. The future movie star's family was ordinary. My father worked as a geologist, and my mother was a timekeeper. But Valentina's creativity manifested itself in her school years. Then she had excellent grades in literature, read poetry remarkably, performed monologues from Russian classics.
Since childhood, Valentina dreamed of becoming an actress. Therefore, she was not stopped by the fact that she just could not enter the theater institute. The girl did it only on the third attempt. So she got into the famous VGIK in the workshop of no less famous - Tamara Makarova and Sergei Gerasimov. The girl graduated from VGIK in 1958. In the same year she was admitted to the staff of Mosfilm.
Career
But Valentina Khmara began acting in 1954. The film "Hope" became the debut. And the director of this picture was her teacher Sergei Apollinarievich Gerasimov.
The same director in 1957 began filming the cult film "Quiet Don". He invited his student here, entrusting her to play Mashutka Kosheva.
This was followed by work in the movie "Thirst". Here Valentina Khmara starred with the famous actor Vyacheslav Tikhonov. The girl played a scout.
