The public is ambivalent about her, condemned and praised on social networks. She is a symbol of the modern era, a significant person in the history of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Biography
Larisa Nitsoy was born on March 17, 1969 in the small village of Kapitanovka, which is located in the Novomirgorodsky district of the Kirovograd region in Ukraine. As a child, the girl was fond of literature, the history of her native land and language. Having grown up, Larisa successfully entered the Pedagogical Institute of Kirovograd, where she studied as a teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature. After graduating from a higher educational institution, Larisa immediately decided to use the acquired knowledge productively, so she got a job as a teacher in a general education school. In the course of her work, Larisa Nitsoy not only shared her knowledge with students, but also, using unique author's methods, instilled in them a love for their native language.
Working as a simple school teacher, Larisa managed to become famous almost throughout the country. Prominent writers, political and public figures began to notice her, inviting her to new positions. And, despite the fact that for a long time Nitsoy remained faithful to her pedagogical activity, later she nevertheless went deep into solving social and political problems.
Career
Larisa began to climb the career ladder in 1998, when the legendary Ukrainian politician Vyacheslav Chornovila noticed patriotic tendencies in the girl's social activities and invited her to Kiev for further cooperation. A little later, she is sent to foreign courses in electoral technologies. After receiving additional education, new professional doors opened for Larisa. She was hired to work in the apparatus of the People's Rukh of Ukraine party, but after a while Larisa moved to the freer Reforms and Order party. Concurrently, she also began to cooperate with the Verkhovna Rada of the country in the position of “assistant-consultant”.
When the Strategic Research Center began to develop in Ukraine in 2019, Larisa was invited to become a deputy director in this social and political organization. While in this high post, the woman began to conduct scandalous activities, which were controversially reacted by local residents and netizens. Nitsoy created an open letter addressed to the head of the Ministry of Health, asking to change the current situation with illustrations of children posted in the surgery department, on which Russian-language inscriptions were noticed. She demanded to replace the inscriptions with Ukrainian ones. In 2016, Larisa delved deeper into patriotic propaganda, calling for the dismantling of the busts of Lomonosov, Pushkin and Gorky, believing that instead of them, the Universitet metro station should be decorated by Ukrainian figures. And during the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Kiev in 2017, Nitsoy began active campaigning against operators who printed invitations in Russian.
Creation
Along with educational and political activities, Larisa Nitsoy is engaged in literary creativity. In particular, she became famous as a children's writer, having published the story "Invincible Murashi". Delving deeper into this work, one can understand that its context is built on the basis of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict. In addition, other children's books by Larisa Nitsa are popular in Ukraine: “Two grandmothers in an unusual school, or a treasure in a carriage”, “My Black”, “Zaichik's happiness”.
Larisa is a multiple winner of all-Ukrainian awards and competitions. In 2007, Nitsoy won a diploma at the Coronation of the Word festival, and in 2014 she won the highest award in the Golden Chestnut Branch competition. Recently, the writer became the organizer of the popular literary action "Adults Read to Children", and also created an author's lesson plan for children "A Writer Leads a Library Lesson."
Personal life
Larisa met her future husband at the Center for Strategic Research. He is still the director of the organization. Now Andrei Nitsoy actively supports his wife in all her endeavors. Together with Larisa, they hold book actions, meetings, conferences and briefings, promoting the ideas of the primacy of the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian culture. The couple have two children - daughter Lesya and son Yaroslav, but Larisa and Andrey rarely appear with them in public.
