Prayer (namaz) is one of the most important pillars of religion. Performing namaz is the duty of every Muslim who has reached the age of bulug (puberty) and has a healthy mind. A Muslim is obliged to perform 5 prayers a day at a strictly defined time. The times of prayer are determined mainly by the movement of the sun.

Step 1
Morning prayer
The time for morning prayer begins at the beginning of dawn and lasts until the beginning of sunrise. It is necessary to have time to read it before the sun appears over the horizon. Since during sunrise, sunset and when it is at its zenith, it is forbidden to read prayers. If you start to pray before sunrise, but during prayer the sunrise begins, then such a prayer is considered invalid.
Step 2
Day Prayer
The time for performing the daytime prayer begins from the moment the sun is at its zenith and until the shadow of objects is equal to their double length, plus the shadow at the zenith is also added to this.
Step 3
Early evening prayer
The afternoon prayer time begins after the end of the afternoon prayer time. Lasts until sunset. It should be noted that the prayer is also considered invalid at sunset. But unlike the morning prayer, the evening prayer, during which the sun began to set, is allowed to finish reading, it will be considered valid.
Step 4
Evening prayer
The time of evening prayer lasts from the complete sunset to the complete disappearance of light on the western side of the horizon. It should be noted that in some regions of Russia the light on the western side does not disappear during the summer months. In such cases, different rules for determining the time of prayer apply. Night prayer
The time for performing the night prayer begins after the evening prayer and lasts until the morning prayer.
