Russian Post has a rich history. At the beginning of the 18th century, the foundations for the unification of all postal items were laid, a single sample of their appearance was established, special stamps appeared, allowing letters and parcels to be registered and found in case of loss. In the 21st century, our national postal operator has automated sorting points, uses computers, scanners, and software. But still, senders often have the question “How to find a parcel?”.
It is necessary
- - a receipt issued upon receipt of a parcel;
- - Internet access.
Instructions
Step 1
The technology for receiving and processing parcels is based on the assignment of a unique barcode postal identifier. The internal Russian identifier includes 14 characters, the international postal identifier - 13. Data on the parcel and the status of its processing are entered into the unified accounting and control system (OASU RPO) at each stage of the passage. The postal identifier in the OASU RPO system allows you to uniquely determine the movement of your shipment via the Internet. However, the percentage of entering information is not 100%, since the result is directly related to the technical equipment of Russian postal facilities, and it is clearly not enough.
Step 2
To search for a parcel, go to the website of the Russian Post, in the section Tracking postal items. In the "Postal identifier" field, enter the number of the parcel indicated on the receipt issued upon receipt. Please note that the postal identifier is indicated immediately under the receipt number and is completely identical to the barcode on the parcel. Then click the "Find" button. After processing your request, the system will give the status of the parcel and its location, but you must take into account the fact stated in the previous paragraph. Search results in the OASU RPO do not always mean that the parcel is in the specified location until now. Perhaps it was sent to the next stage of processing without being reflected in a single automated system
Step 3
If the search for a parcel through the OASU RPO did not bring the desired results, contact any post office with a wanted statement. When filing a claim, you must have with you an identity document of the sender and a receipt for the receipt of the parcel or its photocopy. On the official website in the section User requests posted samples of application forms. The postal employee who accepted the application is obliged to issue a tear-off coupon confirming that the search application has been accepted.
